Good PGs are a bad matchup for the Lakers.
In his brief career, Paul has owned LA. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

Don't sleep on the Hornets.
CP3 is amazing. On my short list of favorite players in the NBA. |

it's not on mihm it's phil cuz he's an idiot. Phil should've started bynum, instead the Lakers started off slow. What was it 18-8 in the first at one point?
Phil is an idiot, can't stick to the depth chart. |

They shot 56% from 3.... 10/13 from Peja. Luke could have played better D, we missed Kwame, REALLY missed LO, Bynum had 2 or 3 misses he shouldn't have had, and Kobe had some defensive lapses... but you gotta give it the Hornets. We didn't actually play so bad, it was just the 3s.
Personally, I thought we were going to win this game... especially after the short run in 3rd. I am disappointed, but this game was WON by the Hornets as opposed to the Houston game which I believe was LOST by the Lakers. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

When they don't, it is going to be very very tough.
They played good D the first few games of last season too, it is when the games keep coming that is the real test of how your D is.
Tonight was a big step backwards. Spero claiming the Lakers coaches have zero impact on the game as far as adjustments despite making huge money. Hard to argue with that, Spero is pissed! |
They struggle against those teams that spread the floor and let their point guards breakdown the defense. They need to play NO the way they played Phoenix the other day. |

Such a disappointing game. Oh well better to have one sooner rather than later. |

Vlad is doing pretty good tonight, why he only played 18 minutes, and didn't touch the ball a lot??? |

19&21 is silly
10-13? is that a record? The guy was 2 for 8 from within 3, you'd think they might try and run him off the three point line.... |

I agree Mike... Paul needs to be played the exact same way we play Nash. However, Paul is quicker and so its not as easy. We needed LO to be honest... Luke didn't play D like he needed to and didn't take advantage of Peja on offense like he should have. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

Vlad played awful defense. He cost us more points than he got us.

Are those injuries being used as an excuse again? I thought you promised not to use them this year. _________________ Jeffs

Was it Sanity that said Cook is this year's Smush Parker? If by that he mean the weakest link in the rotation, he was absolutely correct...Dude has been useless thus far...
If Bynum CAN play starters minutes he should be starting and playing starter minutes...Mihm was pretty woeful tonight...
Why does Fox think we give a damn about Tyson Chandler? Shouldn't they be interviewing one of the Lakers captains?
Javaris will never see time until he learns the type of defensive intensity necessary to compete at the NBA level...
We got a good glimpse of Drew's post up/entry pass game tonight, and it didn't look so fluid...Nonetheless, he rebounded well and changed a few shots...
Kobe is still learning when to get agressive and when to lay back...A good time though is when the other team is on a 6 or 8-0 run or is putting you down by 8 or 10...
It's going to be interesting to see what the team looks like when Lamar comes back, and who goes to the pine...I'm going to guess and say Ronnie goes to the bench, which will be a mistake...Luke makes about 3 plays a game that none of our other small forwards could make per game...Ronnie makes about 5 or 6 such plays... |

He is probably the best 2-way PG in the game. His shooting is not great yet but it really doesn't need to be. He gets into the lane at will. |

Who's on the Lakers that can stop him? Only player I can think of would be Lamar, but he's not a good defender. |
Maybe not, but I know one thing, the defecit would have been smaller because Peja doesn't have a prayer when it comes to guarding LO. He never has down through the years... LO has always killed him. Luke got his feelings hurt, and even his offense quit... _________________ "According to ESPN.com's conference projections, the Lakers will finish 12th in the West, which prompted Bryant to tweet earlier this offseason, "12th I see.." |

I've always been afraid of Paul, he owns us.
Ah well, on to Minny, which should be a win. I won't get too down on this loss. |

Not really the point this game.. he gave the lakers the spark to get back and lead in the 3rd quarter.. then it all went down south when Luke left Peja open.. and Phil with his idiotic lineup with matadors and inserting Kobe and other starters too late. |

Kobe played a great game on both ends of the floor. His play had little to do with the outcome. Phil's lineup in addition to Walton getting lit up by Peja had to do with it. |

Well, on the bright side, I guess we won't be seeing any new threads about this team being too deep for a little while. |
