As long as we're (near) perfect health (like we are now), the key to our success in every game we play this season will be our energy/intensity level.
In the past, (re: the Smush years) aside from Kobe and Ronny, it seems that this team's nature was to be "too cool", "low key" and low energy.
There is no way this team is going to do anything if they, once again, approach games with that low-energy attitude.
It seems, so far, that the addition of Fisher and his "warriors mentality" has really helped us in that regard.
Effort
Intensity
Heart
Desire
Toughness
For EVERY opponent (not just the elite teams on opening night on national TV)
That, along with crisp triangle execution, will take this team very far. _________________ Everything. Changes. |

The Lakers need to take the Jazz out of the game right away. They won't put up a fight because they are on the road, coming off of a late game. Once we take them out early, we'll be able to cruise _________________ Double rings > Double rainbow |

We need to control the tempo early and sustain...play with intensity on defense and execute our offense well...and our players MUST not be discouraged after missing a shot or making a wrong turn on offense,we need to re-up after any bad possession...not just go into "let kobe score 60 by him self and hope its enough to win"
also kwame, i hope to god he plays decent...he needs to suck all the butter off his fingers and play like he wants to win...i hate seeing him sluggish, just makes me want to slap him around...
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD KWAME, DUNK THE DAMN BALL WHEN UR RIGHT UNDERneath THE BASKET THIS GAME...please...

Kwame needs to put his big ass on Boozer and do what he can to keep him off the boards and out of the paint.
Of course that's a tall order. The other issue is keeping Deron out of the paint. Maybe the fact that Fish was with the Jazz last season will give us a little bit of inside edge on how to guard those guys. |

You laugh now, but Cook is Phil's secret weapon.
... why else would Phil keep playing him. |

Man!... last game actually got me wondering what this tema can do both offensively and defensively... i hope we can play some good interior D against Utah's front line... kwame should match up well with booz.. with Drew destroying the Utah bench.. _________________ What I'm doing right now, I'm chasing perfection.

The Keys to the game has to be defense on Boozer and William because those guys could really kill us if we don't watch ourselves and don't control them we need to stop them. Also like we played against the SUNS we need to play today our second unit must play good and not lose leads. |

This is how a game thread should be started! but instead of keys to game it should be like BK's keys to the game...(think of it as a feature but its opinion, a good one at that!) _________________

I hope it's in HD. I'm suspicious because it doesn't have the little HD icon next to it on my program guide.
Really gonna be annoyed if it's not.
edit: Grr, just turned on Lakers Live, it's not in HD. Not a good sign at all. I don't get it, we saw HD preseason games on FSN. |

Well I just hope to see the same level of intensity in hustle and defense in this game, hopefully this game isn't another version of the pre-season blowout that the jazz handed to us. |
