Dude... where's Brian's Song?
Bull Durham?
Remember the Titans?
Toss-up between Hoosiers & The Natural, of those listed. |

Million Dollar Baby, although that movie wasn't necessarily focused on the essence of the sport like movies ssuch as Hoosiers and The Natural. _________________ In regards to a certain fan wanting to cut his wrists:

I also had Rocky on the list, but they don't allow more than 9 selections. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

A League of Their Own.
No, just kidding.
Rocky.
Honorable Mention: Hoosiers. Hackman and Hopper + the greatest hoop underdog story ever! The greatest truism ever taught in sports, pointing out to the small-town kids that the big-time arena's floor is 94 feet long by 50 feet wide, and the hoop 10 feet tall-- just like in their haggard little gym. The ultimate personification of "Just Do It." |

There is a Fletch film that has Chevy Chase as Fletch in a dream sequence with Chick Hearn making the call. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate. Only love can do that." ~~Martin Luther King Jr.~~ |

It really wasn't technically a sports movie, but one film featured Tom Hanks participating in a few different sports. In the film Forrest Gump, Hanks played football, pingpong, and was a runner. _________________ "Darkness cannot drive out darkness. Only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate.
