Probably a licensing thing, ABC/ESPN are Disney, and maybe they don't want Warner making $$$ on their HD footage.

The only reason I can think for not producing in Blu-ray was that last years sales were poor? Perhaps they took a loss and in this economic time companies are being very tight.
Though when it comes the Laker fans they should now better, we will buy the merch, sh*t I've spent a ton of cash in the last 24 hrs on stuff!
For now I went with the SI collectors set:

I got an email from NBA.com saying my order for the "Lakers 2009 Championship Blu-Ray" has been CANCELLED!
Anyone else got this?

I am sorry to report, but I have bad news. Warner decided not to release the championship disc on Blu-Ray. It will only come out on DVD. They made this decision because the estimates from major retailers were a lot lower than they anticipated. Don't place any pre-orders because they will all be cancelled. The information is 100% reliable  |

The main reason I wouldn't wear it out is, it's white, I just never wear white t-shirts. It they had it in black or grey I would have snatched it. So for me it was either get that shirt as a collector's item and the banner shirt or the banner shirt and the champs hat. I couldn't afford all three plus the locker room shirt.
