Kmart on Kobe would be a dream....
Kobe drags him 20 ft out and opens up the inside for Pau & Drew...Denver would only have Nene & Melo down low. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

Whoever it is to guard Kobe next, he'll be a mismatch.
After great practices with Jazz (AK47, Harping, etc) and Houston (Artest and Battier), Kobe will certainly find it easier with Denver.
If Kmart is on him, Lakers will have a field day. _________________ Kobe's Top 5 Dunks, 81 points, MJ last gm @Staples |

K-Mart on Kobe means Pau and Drew goes off.
Do it! It's not like they didn't try this last year in round 1. _________________

honestly if they do that in game 2 we will blow them out. I just dont think they will for the whole game, maybe down the stretch but if Kobe gets everyone involved like in game 7 then it wont matter if they swarm Kobe in the 4th because everyone else will be into the flow of the game and we we'll kill them off the double teams and the Martin over playing Kobe.
Lets win game 2 !!! Lets close these punks out in 5! |

If there ever was a time to play the big lineup this is it!
Bynum - Nene
Pau -Martin
Odom - Carmelo
Ariza/Sasha - Smith
Kobe -Billups
we would lock them all down with our size and lenght! |
It is my profound belief and wish that Phil is saving that line-up for the Finals. He will only bring it out if he believes there is no other alternative. |

AGREED.
I Would LOVE to see this.
odom can handle carmelo. I think this means more play time for andrew too...and it gives more flexability in the front court...
enter ariza/exit andrew/pau to c/LO to pf
enter ariza/exit LO
enter ariza/exit pua/LO to PF
then we also have luke to provide a rest for LO or pau (by sliding LO to pf)
I think odom can handle carmelo...who also hurt us on some offensive boards and LO is a great rebounder. |

Didn't you see how Mello chewed Odom up and spit him out? Mello is too quick for Odom. I'd double off of Martin and let him beat me. _________________ "We're high above the western sideline here in Chick's Nest at the Fabulous Forum, the House that Jack built." |

i think the lakers will make the adjustments on offense in the next game, we didn't know how they would defend our bigs - they decided to do a lot of fronting, and have support from the wings. the coaching staff will make the spacing adjustments to get the ball to the bigs, who then need to make quick reads as to where the double is coming from, if it indeed does come.
i look for us to punish the nuggs a lot more on the interior in game two. we only had one day to prepare for them, and we really didn't know what kind of wrinkle they come out with to blunt our major advantage, now we know. phil was right in his assessment on monday that the lakers would need to win this game on grit and emotion, it's what they did. _________________ "i was born down in the valley where the sun refused to shine, but i'm climbin' up to the highlands, goin' to make that mountain mine" ~ Lakers, 2011 |

I'm pretty much fed up with all the criticism the Lakers have been taking the past few weeks from both fans and also the national media. Yes the team has played inconsistent but still has managed to make it to the WCF and beat Denver in a game where we had no business winning.
Admittedly, I have also been critical of the Lakers, and I had a difficult time watching last night's game. Too nervous to watch the 4th quarter, I turned off the game and hoped for the best. I took all my nervous and negative energy and began sweeping and vacuuming the floors in my home with positive thoughts in my head that the Lakers would win the game. I know it's probably OCD.
So after I was done, I turned the game back on with a minute left and watched the Lakers defeat the Nuggets.
So last night, I decided I would start sweeping and vacuuming every time the Lakers are down in the 4th in hopes of the Lakers pulling out a come from behind victory and will continue this until the Lakers win the championship.
All that being said, I encourage every Laker fan to do whatever it takes to support the team, stop (or at least try to minimize) the harsh criticism of Bynum and D-Fish, and bring positive energy to support our Lakers.
GO LAKERS! |

Nuggets are lucky to have had such an easy path to the WCF playing two no-defense, unphysical teams. |
