Tonight is an excellent opportunity for us to re-capture our defensive momentum.
We must keep them under 90 points.
Control the game with our D/rebounding and show the rest of the league that we ARE a legit defensive-minded squad this year. _________________ Everything. Changes.

Carter and Harris both average about 24 points a game, and Yi is a pretty good east coast PF. We will need to play MUCH better defense than we did against Sac-town. _________________ LAKERS 2019-2020: NBA World Champions!
I guarantee that Devin Harris will attempt to penetrate at least 50% of the possessions where he is on the floor. Our perimeter defense will be tested this game... if we keep them under 100 points in spite of our recent defense issues, it will be a commendable effort indeed.
LOL NBA tv just mentioned that a bunch Laker fans were screaming that they fixed the vote so that they show Cavs Knicks. And I don't even believe they denied it they just mentioned the internet buzz about it.

If you check the new fan night polls, the Lakers game are leading again by a lot. 41% votes on Lakers vs Pacers. The next most vote is SA vs Detroit with 23%. I bet NBATV is wishing they hadn't started it in the first place. _________________ Eighth grade key phrases are crucial tools for this type of subterfuge: "team player", "make teammates better", "ballhog", "selfish", "court vision": all dripping with sanctimony and defamation.
Hope Ahmad, Cwebb, and GP are happy. Knicks down 50-24 8:00 left in the 2nd. Great pick. _________________ "It's just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. I beat people up."-The Greatest

The Nets backcourt will be a great test to see how they've adjusted. If the Lakers haven't figured out how to defense against aggressive PG penetration, the Lakers D is going to get torched big time tonight.

Lakers are giving up 101 ppg over the last 7 games, a far cry from the 87 ppg over the first 5. We need to step it up starting tonight
The Lakers have given up more than 100 points twice in the last 7 games. Let's not inadvertently make it sound as though every opponent in the last 7 games has scored at least 101 pts when that's far from the truth. Especially when one of the 2 opponents who did score more than 100 pts was held to 43% (Chicago), and if you remove Rose' from the equation, the rest of that team was held to 37%.
I think we're over-stating our defensive demise and it's just too soon to know. We seem to have slipped a little bit, but given that we've had such a bizarre and erratic early season schedule, our rythym, continuity and flow on both ends of the court has been impacted by that. Consequently, I think it's premature to really know what we can expect defensively from this team on the season as a whole. We should now start to get a good feel for it, though, since our schedule is finally having some consistency to it.
