BBall is not the sport for Boxscore/HiLite watchers... maybe u could for baseball. Watch the game and you will see that Jordan plays well in passing lanes but struggles on-ball. |
If he was struggling, then it would have shown up in the boxscore, either in the point or assist column. Yes, there are things called the assist that leads to the assist, but that applies to every guard. |
This must be what its like to argue against Chimpy Hollinger of BSPN... nevermind boxscore is everything, you cant stop watching. |
werd... I gave up a few post back. |
I always say after the socalled bball fans that media propaganda MJ machine brought in, the 2nd worst are the boxscore watchers...
If you played the game or studied the game all you need to do is watch... the boxscore is for fantasy basketball players. |
If you say you saw something, and I say I saw something different, then how do you settle it? How do we know your observation is right and not mine? |
I watched the game instead of quoting box score. Apples & Oranges.
Did you see who Taylor blew by again at the end? |
Someone said Farmar got lazy, so I'm guessing it's Farmar. Still, you're going to include an example in which the game was all but over to prove your point? |

The defense is amazing! Blocks and Steals just flow from this team like niagra falls. The 4th Quarter was close but then it just got ugly fast for the Clippers.
If the Lakers hit thier FT's tonight...this game would have been over in the 3rd. |

Lakers win ugly for the second time. Nice to know we can count on our D. No way a team can expect to hold our offense down the whole game. With our D, we just hang in there until the run comes. _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Someone missed games 4 and 6 of the finals.
No, but seriously, I am kind of surprised. I somewhat expected us grinding it out ala SA & Minny tonight. |

Oh good lord that was quite funny. _________________ "After watching Bryant and Cooper go at it for about 10 minutes West stood up, nodded at two team public-relations men he'd brought with him, and snapped, 'That's it, let's get out of here, I've seen enough. He's never really liked Andrew. He'll do any little thing to undermine his game. |
or maybe it was because tim thomas was subbed in to the game, and lamar is a better cover on him than bynum? hmmmm.
and odom came in and kicked some ass too. |
Thomas isn't going to burn Bynum play after play. Besides Pau was out there too. And it had been Shaq instead of Bynum, Phil would've left him in there, thus showing his bias. |
Give it up already.... |

anyone notice how dirty kaman plays? i always see him purposely running over our players. he should play on the jazz.
also, did anyone catch the tim thomas push? How come no one called that? It was clearly a foul _________________

I would rather have the ugly games against the scrub teams and win them then have then against the elites. It does show me that the Lakers are much improved on defense and Houston will be in for a surprise this weekend.
4-0

I think Lamar outplayed him tonight, that's why he was sitting on bench in the 4th _________________ "Now, if life is coffee, then the jobs, money & position in society are the cups. Defense looked good at times after 1Q.
54-44 edge in rebounding.
12 steals, 12 blocks
All nice trend. Offense will come. As long as we keep our defense effort steady I'm fine b/c we have too much talent for offense to not be smoothed over soon.
(Worthy42- you are right. no point arguing. Hollinger is god to some ppl... ppl that have no clue regarding bball) |

The Denver one was much worse because of the officiating, and even though that was only a 7-point win, the Lakers were leading most of the way through. This one had some back-and-forth going on before the Lakers stepped up at the end. |
