We have a thread on overrated musicians, and one on the worst songs ever. But how about worst musicians/bands? Who do you despise and turn the radio every time they come on?

For me, it is Dave Matthews, Rush, Creed, and Nickelback. Every time I see them come on the radio, my ears start bleeding and I need to switch the station. And then there are Nickelback and Creed wannabes? Horrendous.

What makes a band/musician bad? cuz they dont play instruments very well or sing very well?
cuz i dont think creed or nickleback are bad "musicians"...they just dont make music that i like...
and if you want to talk about bad musicians, Elvis only knew like 4 guitar chords... He was just a great entertainer. The total package... of looks, hair, his style, his voice and the controversy!

What makes them bad? You have to turn the dial when they come on and no one will ever find them on your iPod.

How's that for a definition?

I agree on Nickleback and creed, but Rush??? I'm not a fan of their music, but even I can see what talented musicians they are.

Rush still makes my skin crawl. They go on the list.

This has nothing to do with talent and musical ability, just general disdain for the music they put out.

OK, got ya. Perhaps you should change the title to "bands/ musicians you hate"?

But you changed the title. Grudging compliance is compliance nonetheless...

^^Good call. I was excited about the band "Fall Out Boy" because it has a name from the Simpsons, but as soon as I heard one of their songs....I was highly disappointed. I don't know anything else about them, though.

I agree with the first three wholeheartedly, but Pearl Jam?! Personally I think they are one of the great rock bands still around making good music.

Anyway...here are some of my most hated not yet listed:

Smash Mouth, Linkin Park, All American Rejects, Papa Roach, Puddle of Mudd...

Limp Bizkit, P.O.D., Nickelback, Creed.

The radio station Live 105 in the bay area used to say how many days it had been since the last time they played any creed song on the air. One of the funniest things I've heard on the radio.

How about people pick someone from the style of music that they like that sucks at it. I mean if you like rap and hate metal, then yeah your going to hate Metallica, Gun n roses....etc. Or if you like country only then yeah your going to hate little bow wow.

But I don't care for 50 cent. Rap has gone down hill and he is the impedimy of poor rap. All he does is talk in a mono tone voice, and hardly rhymes. Everywhere else in the world they call a college professor.

With rock any of that emo stuff fails at enjoyment

I can just imagine a huge building with rooms labeled "LIL" and "YOUNG" on the doors. All the fake rappers just having a meeting.

and "LIL WAYNE IS THE PRESIDENT, yes, yes he is the president" lol...

and TACH, who is that one guy in the boost mobile commercial?
theres like Dupree, Geezy and some random white/boarderline transexual guy. He sais something like "speeding down the highway, picking up speed...
who in the hell is that?

Coldplay

As a musician, I respect the hell outta them but cannot stand their music. "Yellow" is the only song I like. But everything after that just irritates the crap out of me.

I can't stand Limp Bizkit. Actually, I can't stand Fred Durst.

I would love to get in a UFC cage with that motherF'er. I'd destroy him.
