Ahhh. You know you're doing well when a Hater Convention breaks out.

HATE! HATE! HATE! HATE! HATE!

What's next? MJ had no hops? Duncan can't shoot?

Quote:
that means no REF/STERN protection... I dont think MJ or Duncan(looks at the refs if a foul isnt called whenever he misses) can do that. NoOne.. NADA... Like Alicia Keys said.. NO ONE.. NO ONE.. NO ONE...

LOL. Ref protection? Look, I love Magic but he couldn't guard Kwame in a phone book. There is a reason all the winning Laker teams surrounded him with defenders at every other position - to protect him.

Bird and Magic were the first ones to get ref protection because Stern used them to save the league but they couldn't defend the other ones shadow. Don't get it twisted my man. We all love Magic but his yelling like he got shot every time he took in the paint made him the pioneer of trying to draw the foul.

See folks, this is the Rick Adelman, circa 02 Kings defense. Cry to the media about Shaq charging, Kobe travelling, Shaq shooting too many free throws, etc.. We as Laker fans recognize this and reject it.

Shaq intimidated Duncan? 3-3 in series so far. Amare? He hasn't beat Duncan in a series yet (Amare is 0-4 vs Duncan). Hell, the two together only got a three bust in their eye by Duncan.

Bring it to the Smack thread if you dare continue....

I'm no doubt happy to get Duncan but rings aren't won in the ATL during this process. Bones are made in the playoff write-ups. I haven't done anything yet except collect haters.

Bottom line, bring it in the playoffs...so you got the best car, time to run the race...

With these recent signings only two teams now have cap room above the MLE, Siberia at 17 and Los Angeles at 7. These two teams can take in deals at more than 125% salary. LA has the option to shop in free agency or take the MLE and BAE.

In a tribute to Russian obstinance, Siberia will only sign its free agents in the final minutes of free agency if it must. Free agents qualifying for money above the MLE will therefore hold out since more cap room is potentially available. This will effectively shut out bargain basement deals.

As stated in the ATL rules, free agent players with salary expectations at 20 or higher will refuse to sign on the cheap and will go play in Europe. This includes Billy Cunningham, Joe Dumars, Alex English, Elvin Hayes and Pete Maravich. This group will only accept a contract at 16M.

Players with all-star appearances will be open to lower contracts but will not accept MLE (6M) for years in their prime. A 7M offer will be accepted for all-stars if it precedes the all-star year or is after the all-star year and at the tail end of prime. An 8M offer can get better years in prime but not an all-star year.

Since Caron (LA) has to make free agent requests to me and I run Siberia, I will give a list of free agent targets and salaries to jamas to prove who I was after, should Caron pursue the same player. Caron please PM me about this and we can discuss it further.

At this point all free agent offers have been resolved. If you have an offer in and haven't heard back from me, please check your PM/IM as I may have a question out to you on the year. If you have an offer in, and haven't received anything back from me yet, please send me a PM.

Announcement: The Bemidji Rock Star organization regrets to inform you that we are forced to release Dan Gadzuric from his obligation to us, due to an impasse in contract negotiations. We still hope a deal can be done, but at this time, he is once again a free agent.
