Beasley made it look effortless against two former lottery picks, Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah. |

Here's the Lakers' summer league schedule (all games in Las Vegas):
Friday vs. Detroit, 5 p.m., Cox Pavilion.
Sunday vs. Memphis, 5 p.m., Cox Pavilion
July 15 vs. Philadelphia, 5 p.m., Cox Pavilion

July 18 vs. Toronto, 5:30 p.m., Thomas and Mack Center
July 19 vs. Denver, 3:30 p.m., Thomas and Mack Center |

I'm sure Beasley will be good but I do not see a PF at all when I watch him. |

Many have compared him to Shawn Marion with better handles and a better jumpshot. Basically, I think that is spot on. He's a hybrid 3/4 in that mold... although I agree, probably better at the 3 since his game is more perimeter oriented. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

^NBA.com had every game available online for free last summer... I assume they will do the same this year. NBATV had selected games on tv. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

I case anybody cares, Beasley struggled mightily against the defense of Sean Williams from NJ in game 2. He also displayed some small signs of the immaturity that Riley was worried about.
Rose had another nondescript game in game 2 as well. If you didn't know the name on the back of his jersey you would never think he was a lottery pick. The knee must really be bothering him.
I haven't watched Westbrook play but statistically he looks like he's dominating. I'm looking forward to the Westbrook/Rose matchup, if Rose even plays. |

^Thorpe talked about Westbrook a bit in his chat today. Beasley struggled, but that is expected. That knee is apparently bothering Rose.
Really, I expect Beasley to have a rookie year similar to Durant except a little more efficient because, unlike Durant, he'll have Wade and Marion to help take some of the pressure off of him. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

If the knee is such a problem for Rose, shouldn't the Bulls stop him from playing? It's not worth it at all. |

Actually they have, they shut down Rose from all games this summer. _________________ LakersGround's Terms of Service

Anthony Randolph was pretty damn impressive in his first summer league game. Had some impressive blocked shots, handled the ball in transition, made good cuts to the basket and nice finishes, had 8 rebounds, 30 pts. 5 to's and 6 fouls though.
Memphis v NO is up. Critt and Mayo playing. |

I just went through the the stat lines for the last 3-4 games and it looks like Brook Lopez is playing pretty well too. I think he's like at 20+ points a game at over 50% from the field (not that it isn't just summer league, and not that I expect him to really do anything in the NBA). |

Sit down*
* for best results, sit down facing the TV |

I keep refreshing waiting for the link to show as well. Maybe the prior game went late?
