Hi guys and gals. I am currently looking to buy a hand held GPS. and am looking to spend anywhere between $200-$350. Can you guys share with me your experiences with the navigation systems that you guys have, and what do you like/dislike with it? There's just a lot of brands out there, and figured I should ask to see which one you guys prefer and why. Because of the new hands-free law, Bluetooth would be a nice option as well as text-to speech, but not mandatory. Thanks in advance for your input!

Blackbird by Alpine.

Got it from Sonic Electronix. They're here in So Cal (Valencia) so you can pick up but I've also had a few things shipped from them too.

VZ Navigator from Verizon. Can use it anywhere even while walking and you always have it with you wherever you go.

Garmin Nuvi. (Although I did get the 680.) Best UI of the bunch.

Takes a while to get satellite triangulation, but other than that, works great.

might be more convenient to get a phone with gps capability unless you like carrying lots of stuff in your pockets. if you just want for your car, garmin nuvi is pretty nice.

Have a Magellan Maestro 4040, I'm quite happy with. It has the bluetooth also, which I don't use.
