we all know he could bring the rock up, and he does it a lot anyway.

we all know he can pass the ball.

I think we should just get a shooting gaurd then can shoot the 3 on a consistant basis and play some defence to save kobe energy for that 4th courter

terrible idea. hes had to do this enough already in his career. kobe is a SCORER. let him play with his strength and be a scorer. stay at shooting guard.

It's not terrible. Kobe is also a tremendous creator (his scoring ability allows it). He's just never had great shooters around him to take advantage of it. He also shouldn't have to defend opposing pg's because he needs to save his energy. Odom is a perfectly good option at bringing the ball up and both Kobe and Lamar will be posting defenders up a lot this year.

he does creat off the dribble a lot, but it's probably just as easy to find a PG as it is to find a SG....

And who do you propose then, extends all their energy chasing down the quick point guards? (i.e. Tony Parker, Nash, Davis, etc)

There are two components to basketball, and scoring is just one of them. You CAN create for others without playing the 1.

You need a third "hell no" response for your poll.

Depends on the situation. He shouldn't be expected to do it all game. Too much responsibility and energy for someone whom we all know and love to be the best closer in the game.

A fourth option "Stop wasting server space" would be good too.

ditto that. I won't even vote on that, that's a pretty limited couple of choices there.

Kobe can mix it up as he has in the past as the "initiator" in the triangle, even bringing the ball up in the right games as much as whomever is effectively our PG. Still, you can't have him plugged in as the season-long PG for us. He'll wear himself out trying to cover smaller speedier PGs and it's still just not his natural position. It's great to have the ball in his hands on occasion coming up the floor, but look at his asst/TO ratio and you realize he's not cut out to be the main facilitator of the offense, even in the tri.

No!!!!! We need kobe to score points and play monster defense!!! Let the PG worry about setting everyone else up and running the team! In my opinion Id like to see kobe play off of the ball for the entire season!
