I agree. Phil continually digs a 4th quarter hole for the team with his ridiculous substitutions and expects the players to pull miracle comebacks.
Horrid coaching today by Phil, absolutely putrid. Why would you put Farmar back in the game? The guy is a disaster and has no confidence, that spurt with Farmar in at the start of the 4th was too much to overcome. |
WHY would he even play Farmar again in this series??? Put Sasha in, Ira Newble or ANYONE other than Farmar. Lakers SHOULD have won this series in 4-5 games. Now it will go 6 or even 7. This Laker team COULD NOT handle the hostle setting of Utah. Gasol had a pathetic game 3, and the Lakers wasted a great effort by LO, Fisher and Sasha while Kobe was hurt. Pressure is squarely on the Lakers going back to the Staples Center. I feel pretty confident the Lakers will win game 5. They should be mentally prepared to win game 6 too---but we will see. _________________ Let them HATE so long as they FEAR! |

You know, this was the most (bleep) up non-call I have ever seen. We had all the momentum. They call it and it doesn't even go OT. That non-call really pissed me off. Big time.
I don't know what was worse - the Turiaf ejection or that (bleep). |
that was pathetic ejection cant wait till NBA rescinds that |

Man am I pissed at him. Just KILLED all our momentum. |
What momentum? The O was garbage during the entire OT and our defense wasn't any better.
But hey, when your the captain, you bear the cross. |
What momentum? How about the 20-8 run to end regulation. O was garbage during the game, true, but we had the Jazz on their heels heading into OT. And it's not like the Jazz were monsters in the OT period, we just never got our offense going in OT, thanks largely in part to Kobe, plain and simple.....captain or not. _________________ N****z keep askin' me how does it feel

great job before hand.... why not drive and kick...to the open man like designed! |
Because Kobe LOVES to be the hero. He still could have been the hero IF he would have let his teammates get involved. He could have still made the winning basket in OT if he allowed his teammates to carry the game. _________________ Let them HATE so long as they FEAR! |

I still fail to understand why the NBA would want Utah to get to the next round instead of us, makes no sense from any angle. _________________ !

They took us out of our offense and our comfort zone...
the tri wasnt ran fluid...
our difficult shots werent fallin...
Jazz got a x-mas gift, and the refs...well, what else is new?
Here come all the negative comments like clockwork...Why does everybody here always have to make a worthless thread?
Kobe, throw the nerve stim with hot packs on it and call it a day... |

Blaming Kobe is wrong and frankly I am surprised at many of you guys. But hey if you are going to hate you may as well pick the player who by his presence alone keeps us in games.
Even before this game, it had loss written all over it after Friday nites game, s I was not surprised. Lakers win the next two and the series ends in 6 just like I had in my bracket pool. And all of you are hapy with Kobe again.
I think Famar needs to practice more because he is stinking up the joint _________________ "Hate that I'm a veteran and a champion, hate that.

No one is blaming Kobe for the loss. FT's are more glaring than that.
What people are blaming kobe for is that We were in this game because of:
*LO
*Pau
*Kobe
*Fish
yet kobe ignored them when the game was there. he clearly wanted to be the hero in game where our bigs were doing anything they wanted.
Kobe was fine, except when it mattered. lets understand why we were even in Ot.
*pau offensive RB
*LO's 3 and follow up put back
*Fishs clutchness.
All were blatantly ignored by the MVP _________________

A few adjustments Phil needs to make are:
1. Bench Vlade as a starter...that guy is deadweight in this series.
2. Play Sasha as the backup PG, instead of Farmar. Farmar got manhandled again by D Williams.
3. Put Kobe and Tex Winters in a room together for 5 hours and remind Kobe that the triangle is what got them to this point, and not Kobe Bryant. |

Well, I will have to admit we saw less of the triangle and more of the KobeBry-angle today. Hope the ball we move around a lot more on Wed. |
