I admire Greg Popovich. He EARNED his accolades.

Phil is nothing but an opportunist.

Phil is a figurehead. All glory without merit is no glory at all.

Phil Jackson, you sir are a FAKE.

Greg Popovich is a GREAT coach.

Their biggest value is keeping Brown and Walton the bench. They really aren't that good individually.

The Lakers looking past the Spurs in the 3rd quarter KILLED them -- The Lakers even when they are down players ALWAYS look past teams if there is a SNIFF of an advantage. No energy, no motion -- hence no points in that horrid 3rd quarter.

did you see Lamar run out halfway while Finley have the ball, then stop????????????

Then Finley gives it to Ginoboli and Lamar runs out again, but too late

It's amazing that you guys are blaming Phil when he's sitting on the bench and the players are losing the game.

Phil doesn't care about one game. He's looking for growth. That takes more than one player...and a player can't grow on the bench.

They don't live by it. Popovich knows we don't defend it because it has worked for the Spurs vs. Lakers OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Well at least we didn't lose any ground, I think..since Phoenix lost its like this pathetic excuse for a game did not happen. I'd rather think like that then realize how a team can go from having a 13 point lead and ALL the momentum to losing this game because of an overrated coach..yeah overrated..I don't care that he has 9 rings, he also had great talent around him..now he is just showing how stupid he really is..senile, stupid, don't matter. when you have a guy like Ronny that was running the show and playing great ball, and you substitute him with sack of potatoes for brains Kwame Brown something is very wrong in lakerland

It's a series of things:
1- Phil not stopping momentum swing with a timeout.
2- Spurs stepped up their defense ten-fold.
3- Officials not calling fouls on their end, Kobe had 1 FTA through 3.

Nice TimeOut -- the only dividends of the TimeOut is a turnover.

You guys can rag on the other guys all you want, but the fact of the matter is that Kobe sets the tone of the game. He came out in the 3rd shoot bricks, not passing the ball, the others simple follow. The difference Kobe in the first half and the second is why we lost this game. Don't blame Phil for not calling a timeout, or leaving Kwame in the game.

Granted, Ronny was playing better but did you want him in the game picking up silly fouls inthe rd when he could play the whole 4th? Not rotating on shooters in the 3rd quarter Killed us, we gave up tons of points, a 14-0 run!!

Am just gonna put my tails between my legs and head off to bed!!!!

Phil might be the worst coach in the league when it comes to adjustments. Popovich KICKED HIS ASS in the 2nd half.

Phil couldn't recognize what the Spurs changed on the defensive end.

Tonights game is a classic example of bryant wanting to win, but only on his own terms. Things were flowing so smoothly in the first half and instead of contiuning with the flow, bryant decides try and take over a game in which the lakers were up by nine and his selfish play probably cost his lakers team a win. Is this a guy that can be trusted to lead a team to a championship?
