Now if I were to send you a thank-you note, where would I send it to? |

I don't understand what LO is doing out there. Obviously, he doesn't either. He should be steadier, having better recognition, and certainly more of an impact player. Something is not right here. |

What am I missing? Did it not load up on your computer? Or did you mean something else? |

It's completely bogus in a sport like basketball where there is constant scoring (as opposed to hockey)
The stat is too easily skewed by blowouts and doesn't make much sense in a game where scoring usually happens constantly REGARDLESS of who's in the game... |
A lot of stats don't tell the story. It's just another layer to look at and maybe get a better picture. Some games you might see the whole first unit with - but the second unit had + and we won the game. That will tell you something. You can also use it to see what roster combo's have the best +/-. Or look at your starters over the course of a season and see where the impact is. But stats do and will lie...some more than others. |

How was officiating in Utah? It is usually horrible home cooking (I ma not trying to justify the loss, just curious). |
It was weak, but I don't think it was a factor for the butt kicking. |

I was surprised to see that Bynum was one basket away from another double-double. He just didn't appear to be playing that well.
This kid is becoming a symbol of consistency even on his bad days. |

The whole team with the exception of Kobe was brutal.
Vujacic is useless when you need him, LO was invisible and Chris Mihm was probably the single worst signing of the NBA off-season after the Luke Walton signing of course. _________________ Love, Laker Lanny |

The Jazz played a "run n gun" game, basically the same same as Phoenix. Boozer and Okur playing last night would have actually worked to our advantage..... |

"He didn't approach the game mentally in the way I wanted him to play," Jackson said. "I thought that was unfortunate because there was a number of situations that Lamar was in position to help us out and he just seemed not to be focused in what we're trying to do."
Said Odom: "Just playing basketball, man." |

This is the irony of it all. People fail to realize that a team suddenly playing without one (or two) of its starters can create an advantage for a game or two. The opposing team (in this case, the Lakers) had practiced and prepared for a team playing one type of basketball, and then were suddenly faced with a completely different team, a team for which there were no scouting reports, tape to watch, etc. In this case there was even a player on the Jazz who'd never played in an NBA game before.
I'm pretty sure the Lakers would have done better had Boozer and Okur played.
And why those Jazz fans were booing Fisher I can't figure out. The way he was helping Williams, you'd think at some point they would have started cheering every time he stepped onto the court. _________________ I would rather have questions I cannot answer than answers I cannot question - Richard Feynman |

Thanks DB.
We got them on their back-to-back. Now they got us--on an entirely different level. Coupled with the fact that the fans were booing Fish, I can understand why he didn't want to play there in the first place. Kobe looked really animated on the court; when guys weren't setting screens or getting into triangle positions. Hope some of the youngsters don't take that the wrong way, he wants to infuse this team with the confidence that they can win. Confidence may be one thing, but ability/experience is another. Tough, tough loss. Please Lamar, wake up. Sorry for the rant. |
