LMFAO! Quote form Orlando Magic GM:

Brian (Cook) helps bolster our frontcourt,” said Smith. β€œHe is a power forward who shoots the ball extremely well, while also bringing added toughness to our roster. Maurice (Evans) is a tremendous athlete, a solid defender and capable of playing multiple positions. Both Brian and Maurice fit in very well with what we are trying to accomplish.”

Added toughness? Is this the same Cook that was on the Lakers roster?

Thank God!!

Man, every time Cook touched the ball, a mistake resulted. Yeah the guy can shoot, but he can't do NOTHIN' else!!

I won't miss him, we don't need him. Nothing good happened while he was playing.

'Bout the same. Lateral move at best. Kobe must be thrilled.

Anyone at Powell Library? If so, your probably just heard a WOOOOOOO!

Baby steps Mitch, baby steps. This is definately a good move for the Lakers, even if it's addition by subtraction (AT WORST).

Two former bruins on the Lakers? HOLLLAAA

Ariza just turned 22 this past summer and his contract situation is he is signed this year for $3.1 mil and has a player option for $3.1 mil next year. Anyone have any further info on him on this front? Like if he has an extension that needs to be picked up or anything like that?

So...our depth chart now looks like this?

Fisher, Farmar, Critt
Kobe, Sasha, Carl?
Odom, Luke, Ariza?
Turiaf, Vlad
Bynum, Mihm, Kwame (out for a while tho)

Sasha and Critt can play either the 1 or 2 and can Ariza play both the 2 and 3 spots? Would Trevor backup Kobe or play some 3 spot when more D is needed off the bench? Personally I think this is a good trade because when both Cook and Mo are out on the floor it makes me cringe. Ariza is more athletic than Mo and has better size. Addition by subtraction. Plus Phil won't be tempted to play Cook anymore.
