Cannons report that Bulls offering Gordon,Deng, Wallace and #9 for Kobe was a good topic and a possible destination for Kobe if infact they decide to trade him. I mean heck we have worn out the JO threads. WEAK SAUCE!!! Unlock it.

apparently we aren't allowed to talk about or speculate about rumors of a kobe trade on lakersground. It's taboo.

If they had reported on a popular trade it wouldn't have been censored.

Well clearly the topic was popular as we had two pages in less than a half hour, and had at least one of the mods engaged in the discussion.

Didn't someone mention that the report was false, as none of the Chicago papers were talking about it (which is essentially what the Cannons report was alleging)?

Not popular meaning... that this board is very against the idea of trading Kobe.

It is odd that JO trade talk has gone on for weeks with absolutely no REAL info or confirmation. But a discussion of a possible Kobe trade gets locked twice in one small span of an afternoon.

Kinda weak.

I don't want to trade him, but this boards life-blood is talking about rumored trades. All kinds of rumors (internets, radio, tv, print). The reason for locking the thread was becasue it was not substantiated by a paper seems arbritary.

Kobe shouldn't have gave us fuel for trade threads concerning him then.

Then why wasn't it moved/ merged instead of locked? And why haven't the JO/LO trade rumor threads been locked? they aren't any less unsubstantiated.

Because it was a sticky at the top of the Forum for weeks: Mike will simply lock threads out of their due place.

what does your response have to do with the subject at hand and my opinion about it? How is it hate to want a topic kept open for discussion??? Double standards.

I wouldn't even give up that much for you. God forbid anyone have an opinion around here. I guess yours and the ones that agree with yours are the only one that are allowed here.
