I know he is projected as coming back but after the last few games maybe he's in for 2007.

17 & 14 against Texas with 14 FTs
16 & 12 against UNC with 4 blocks-dominted their bigs for stretches of the game.

6-9 long, athletic, some off the dribble ability. I'd actually look at him at the bottom of the 1st not just with the Charlotte second rounder. A reach maybe but he looks special.

Who has seen him alot?

If he comes out...

How does this stuff work?

Player declares for the draft. When does that happen-time frames. How do they do it? Call David?

Player does/does not get an agent. If you do you lose all NCAA eligibility or some or have to sit for a while?

Player gages interest-so once they declare NBA personnel can talk to them without getting fined?

Player withdraws from or stays in draft.

Seems like there is no disadvantage to saying you are in, seeing if anyone guarantees you a spot high enough and then withdraw if the interest is less than you wanted. Why wouldn't he take a look?

There is a due date to declare for the draft.

Player doesn't not get an agent = available to stay in the NCAA.

That being said, Taj has shown to be the Tyrus Thomas of the tournament without the jumpshot. Still, at 6'9" 220, he's already outsized by Odom.

He looks like a very young Elden Campbell out there with better hands. Swats. Boards. Finishes.

I am curious to see how the measurements pan out. Anything longer than 7'2" will really guage interest in the league.

If he came out where would you project him?

Bigs with hops get picked high even without a J.

As high as mid lotto. Late 1st round.

Measurements and workouts speak volumes. He'll do well, but I do think GMs are less leery of projects who may not be franchise players.
