Quote: | Bulls, Nets Or Lakers Possible Destinations For Ely?

East Valley Tribune -
Teams such as the Lakers, Chicago and New Jersey are possible landing spots for Bobcats forward Melvin Ely, according to the East Valley Tribune, although Chris Webber’s sudden availability will slow the market.
The Bobcats have no interest in taking on any salary, and want expiring contracts along with a draft pick or two for Ely. [READ] |
if Webber doesn't work out.
We have plenty of expiring k's. _________________ Pain is temporary, at the end of pain is success... |

All depends on what happens with Kwame's injury. If he's out longer than expected, then there's a good chance the Lakers will try to pick up another big body.
However if Kwame is expected back say by (worst case) after the ASB, I don't see the Lakers making a move like that. |

I agree, if we see the Lakers bringing in Ely, it will mean that either Kwame or Odom won't be around for most of the second half of the season. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I agree, but if the price is right, why not? |

nah - kwame's doing pretty well - spoke to him yesterday - he's favoring the ankle but he's getting around. He's not close to returning - but doesn't look like another Mihm situation.
And Odom is really lose to back. _________________ Salary Cap Strategist and Columnist at Bleacher Report and on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/EricPincus |

the cats will want a pick/s with the exp. contract.
as long as we don't give up more than our own 2nd rd pick + possibly next years' 2nd rd pick - i'm fine with it.
if the bobcats want more (like their own 2nd rd pick this year) - its just not worth it.
that pick is like a 1st rounder in a normal draft. |

good news....Maybe around 2-3 more weeks for Kwame and 7-12 more days for Lamar _________________ "He's a Zen master, so he can speak to you, and he doesn't need a microphone; you can hear him in your head, 'Ron, don't shoot, don't shoot.' Whatever, pow, three. I love the Zen, though." |
