Hey All,

Latest @BleacherReport 2024 NBA Free Agency: Educated Guesses On Potential Early Signings (not going to lie, this was fun to write; curious how they hold up): https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10124727-2024-nba-free-agency-educated-guesses-on-potential-early-signings

Chris Paul, finally, probably not what you want to hear - just my guesses FWIW. Also Bron back.

Any idea where that leaves the Russells (D'Angelo and Westbrook)?

I don't know of a lot of teams that want Westbrook - tough one, because he's what he is - plays hard but isn't a starter anymore. He "should" just stay with LAC.

D'Angelo's best hope is ORL but otherwise, he doesn't have a ton of fans. He may have to opt in to be traded if one of the few with cap room don't come at him with real $.

I’m gonna predict that your wrong and that it’s gonna be another off season of Chris Paul finally becoming a Laker until that dream dies again.. hahaha… my prediction he ends up going back to the Clippers and Westbrook signs with the Thunder or Heat

The Magic 4 guards in rotation;

Suggs - PG,
Fultz - backupPG,
Harris - SG,
Cole Ant - backup SG,

all average less than 3apg, and all shoot below 40% from 3pt.

Klay Thompson does too, (<3apg, <40%3pt), and Klay would cost almost $10m more than Dlo (6apg/41.5%3pt). Dlo would become Orlando’s best 3pt shooter by far and playmaker by a wide margin. I can’t see Orlando choosing Klay at ~$27m over Dlo at ~$18m, especially with the Klay’s declining defense and age difference along with Orlando being a young team.

What makes you predict Klay Em?

Klay is a name - he had a "bad" season for him and he was still about league average. Fits a need, needs a team with money

Fultz won't be back I don't believe

Eric, do you think Monk staying in Sac opens the door for DLo to Orlando?

Well, THAT is utterly depressing. We end up with another old fart who is always injured. Gee, that's great. 🙄
