What kind of strategy is "We could have beat them tonight, but I'm holding onto Plans C-Z for later."

Gabe whom had 0 points tonight?

I will say this, nine straight losses the Nuggets.

And as long as we win the next one we go back to LA with home court advantage. All we got to do is win one game and we changed the entire narrative of the season

One Game... now just win it

They need to win game 2, Winning 4 out of 5 won't happen unless Jokic or Murray go down with an injury.

Again hard to say that this is something the Lakers can control. Denver just does a great job controlling the glass with their huge frontline. I saw smaller dudes like Reaves trying to compete on the boards and MPJ would just grab it over the of him and bump him off....nothing you can do there.

Neither did we.

The problem was they had a great quarter in the 3rd and we had a horrible one.

If our 3rd quarter is just good. Their run doesn't matter.

they're better on the boards and defensively. Also a better 3 point shooting team. AD/Lebron have to go for 40 each for us to have a chance.

dlo on Jokic? lol seriously we have nothing left to do. doubles wont work because he'll make you pay. and AD cant guard him one on one without being gassed on the offensive end.

I would just leave AD on an island with Jokic. Double Murray when he comes off the high screen and force Jokic to score 50+ points but nobody else is going to beat us

It’s the other guys getting hot that kills the Lakers

Phoenix tried that last year. And it didn't matter.

I guess it is worth a try. AD is a better defender than Ayton. But it more than likely won't matter.

Denver will just run pick and roll with Murray. If AD doesn't at least show on Murray. He'll drop 40.

I really liked how we played today in terms of the overall defensive and offensive gameplan. Thats why I say the only thing that got me upset was Bron in the second half. Its something I rarely see from Bron too. Very unusual. Mentally letting go of the rope/being mentally discouraged isnt something u usually see from him. Game 1 2018 Finals....but even last year, I never got that sense from him

Jokic will just back AD down and shoot 2 to 3foot shots. Did you notice how many of the shots he made in the paint and how many he missed? He's a machine putting the ball in the basket anywhere near the rim.

We need to live with this. AD actually did a great job (Dwight-esque) in challenging those shots

I have no complaints about today's defense. We held them to two points below their season average. Our offense should be able to generate more than 113.

I don't think they need to score 40 if DLO makes open shots like he's capable. He was 1-9 from 3 on mostly open looks. He makes 5 of 9 the game is a tossup.

Game 1 2018 NBA Finals he didn't even get that way till JR Smith, he was engaged the entire time till then. Tbh that's who I expected in Game 1 today.

Then don't jump back on if we win Game 2.
