Edey has a 7'10" wingspan

Clingan has a 7' 7" wingspan

Ware has a 7' 7" wingspan

Filipowski has a 6'10" wingspan

Zubac has a 7' 4" wingspan

Jokic has a 7' 3" wingspan

I didn't watch Filipowski other than that bad game in the tournament but when you are a center and your wingspan is the same as someone like Jaquez... are there any other centers that thrive with a negative wingspan?

Adem Bona might be a good target in 2nd round.

And more than wingspan, we need a big with a strong center of gravity. We lack that on his roster.

Just realized the Lakers have the same record as 4 other teams. So we could end up as high as 16 or as low as 19.

Considering Wemby will be the dominant player for the next 15 years.

I'd take a flyer on Edey.

Not that Edey could do anything against Wemby's overall skill and quickness but if AD's guarding him on the perimeter at least it's a hand in his face when he's in the paint.

Ware looks like a more controlled, coordinated version of Hayes.

But that could be the edit.

Ware is an Arkansas kid. Where I'm from. Has always had questions about his motor. Glad he was able to put together a season and lock in a 1st round draft pick.

Pre Laker Christian Wood would be a good comparison for him.

That's good to know.

Clingan and Ware look like the safer picks, but we already have those types of players and we need a big body.

It's all about whether Zach can adapt to the NBA I suppose.

Well that makes sense.

I also realize now how dumb it was to say that Clingan wasn't a big body.

I forgot how large he was.

So yeah, I'd take Edey over Ware because of need unless something really looked bad during workouts.

According to ESPN, with the play-in now complete, our first round pick will fall between 16 to 19 based on the forthcoming tiebreaker including Toronto, Orlando and Philly. Then New Orleans will have the choice of taking the pick or deferring to 2025.

We will receive pick #55 from the Clippers via the Thomas Bryant trade with Denver.

7'10 wingspan for Edey. Definite get, amongst all his other skills.

If he also gets verticality down?

And we saw what Edey did to Clingan.

Rob gonna draft another JHS. Best to trade that pick for some value and bank on finding treasures in 2nd round.

We also have Austin Reaves you know. And it's too early to know what JHS will be.

Drafts are always hits and misses. The hits are more than the misses.

I'm expecting the Lakers to strongly consider trading the 17th pick this year, assuming the Pelicans don't decide to take it.

Seems like the pick is highly likely to be moved but I thought that last year too.

"I'm expecting" and "they could" means "I have no clue." in sports journalism.

Mitchell Robinson is who we should have drafted over Moritz Wagner.

And Moritz Wagner is a draft pick we SHOULD have held onto after picking him over Mitchell because HE has a solid role in the league too.

Wagner, Zubac, drafting Robinson. There's so may centers the Lakers could have next to AD right now that they just let go of. None hurting more currently than Zubac. Whom Magic trade away for Mike Muscala.... And then Magic bolted 3 months later.

Remembering all this (bleep) makes me SICK.
So many self inflicted wounds.

Trading Zubac for nothing, letting Caruso go, trading for Westbrook, the list goes on and on...

We know the exact recipe to win with LBJ/AD. But we move away from the blueprint every damn summer

If we get swept again I think the guy that gets booted should be Rob the snake pelinka

But we know he won’t cause Jeanie is incompetent
