Quote:
Free agent G Skylar Mays has agreed on a two-way deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, Mark Bartelstein of @PrioritySports tells ESPN. He’s spent parts of the past four seasons with Portland and Atlanta. He gives the Lakers some point guard depth.

Mays gave us 15pts and 12ast when we played Portland earlier in the season.

do these moves give off any signals that Lakers are going to be making a move(s) at the deadline?

No they’re on two-way deals so it makes no difference. They’re simply replacing Hodge and Fudge.

He at least seems servicable. Is he an upgrade over JHS? At this point absolutely

Most importantly for me, it’s a signal they plan on keeping JHS where he should have been from the jump, the GLeague. No shade. Summer league & preseason clearly showed he wasn’t ready. We was just killing his confidence every time we sent him out there. Now we have an adequate 5th guard available with NBA experience.

Which will probably be his totals for the Lakers.
