Westbrook has long since accepted his vet min status and not even close to being an all-star. It's comedic gold that people think Lue is doing some magic trick with Westbrook.

What has turned them around is WB went to the bench, dropped his minutes a ton, they got Harden.

Give 2021-22 Lakers Harden as a 3rd option to AD/Bron, a WB that's willing to be a bench player playing 15 min as a vet min, some decent defenders like Mann, and you'd see that team immediately contend in the top 4 of the West.

I really LMAO at some of the comments I read here. Westbrook of 23-24 has long accepted he's a role player now. He no longer thinks he deserves 35 minutes a game and doesn't make 43-47M a year.

Lmao at yourself for thinking Westbrook barely realized what he was with the clippers to stay in La. He was TRASH for the lakers. Period .

Westbrick cost us Vogel as well, fyi. So not only did we give up two frp (one to acquire and one to get rid of), KCP and two precious AD and Bron years, he also cost us our championship winning coach. We should despise him.

Getting Lebron for free was such a huge net positive for us that it catapulted our team literally from lotto to champs in just two years. The Westbrick trade was so detrimental it pretty much negated all of the gains we got from the Lebron signing so now we've gone back to being lotto team.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Yeah it's not Westbrook's fault the Lakers FO and LeBron and AD couldn't foresee he would be a terrible fit when nearly everyone else could see it plain as day.

The push to trade for Westbrook is the only real criticism I have for LeBron during his tenure as a Laker. That decision set a few things in motion that may have stopped LeBron and the Lakers from winning another title during his time here. Losing KCP, who is a near perfect 3&D player for a LeBron led team, and losing Vogel (not that he is a great coach, but much more competent than Ham). And we probably could have gotten a better asset for Kuz's expiring (he would have walked at the end of his contract regardless).

Pelinka. He made the trade and then fired Vogel to cover his ass.

People have been. Especially since Lamar Odom's tweet that we should be running the triangle. Which was met with laughter at the thought of LeBron even knowing how to play in the triangle.
