Hamm is over his head, and was not the best choice for HC, but until the top brass start acting like the Dodgers and not the Angels we will continue to see the same result on the floor. 2020 was Vogel and a crew of competent ACs. Now, we have - Hands in his pockets, and Phil Handy surrounded by a bunch of cats that look like they are just stoked to be let into the arena.

Jeanie is running this like a mom-and-pop shop. Pinching pennies to save on Dennis Schroeder to replace with Gabe Vincent was a massive step back. Less penetration on O and less pesky on ball Defense. Also, didn't offer a 4th year to Ty Lue who is looking like the COY (before Vogel).

This approach of being good enough for the play-in and some extended playoff run might cover the bills in the short term, but I know a lot of Laker fans that have had enough of this ridiculous front office that only offers inconsistency, nepotism, and penny pinching.

There is the argument that we pay our players well and that we take care of our stars, but being in the middle of the pack in Team Salary doesn't feel like we are going all in for LBJ at this point in his career, but it also doesn't feel like there is a competent plan going forward either. If LBJ leaves in the off-season, we will become the AD Pelicans. We will be lucky to get some breaks and sneak into the 2nd round, but this is not a savvy fiscal franchise like the Dodgers, Warriors, or even the Thunder (who are leaps and bounds ahead of us in the salary cap / asset accumulation game).

This isn't all on Hamm, but I don't think he has the ability to right the ship, so it's time for him to go.
