| I can’t see the FO keeping this roster if the Lakers end up doing poorly in this stretch, Clippers are most likely gonna go on a nice winning run, Pelicans have a soft slot of schedule games coming up there is a good chance we’re gonna be in a play in spot by the New Years and that is with AD and LeBron essentially being healthy for good portion of the season |

Yeah whatever this is is going around I mentioned in the injury thread that Coach Ham wasn't at practice today because he has "non-Covid illness"

Don’t know how the west coast is but flu A is like wild fires the last 2-3 weeks up here in the northeast… then there’s this mycoplasma pneumonia outbreak in china

That was one thing about Schroeder, he was tough as nails. Dude would play with his ankle falling off. We are really missing that. |

RPG is a bad stat, because it does not account for things such as pace and available rebounds. So while the Lakers are 2nd in DRPG they give up much mure offensive boards than that stat would suggest. Adjusted per 100 possessions the Lakers are 5th. But their DRB% is even worse and they are actually "only" the 10th best defensive rebounding team in the league.
In contrast, the Knicks are 1st in ORPG adjusted for 100 possessions and 1st in ORB%. They are also a pretty good defensive rebounding team, while the Lakers are at the bottom of the league in offensive rebounds.
I hope we don't get smoked on the boards.  |

| The schedule gets a little tougher in the next few weeks. Gotta take care of these easy ones. The Knicks had a good game against the Suns but they also lost to the Jazz and got blown out by the Clippers on this road trip. |

I don't think this is an easy game at NY. |
This one is a home game, right? I think the Lakers should win in NY as well but I agree that it wouldn’t be an easy one on the road. |

Losing to the Spurs was unsettling. I think the Lakers thought they couldn't beat us and didn't get up for the game. The Knicks are a different animal. They're a very good basketball team. Tonight's game is a true test of the team's resolve, and where they stand. Jalen Brunson is 2 handsful. You know Julius Randle is going to be fired up. Tom Thibodeau is a very good coach this game will also put Ham's coaching ability to the test. Tonight's game is a true bellwether.

I don't think this is an easy game at NY. |
Knicks have been playing edgy basketball behind Brunson. I wouldn't
take them for granted at all.
If we have important players out with injuries, Knicks could take this
one. They are inconsistent but they recently beat Phoenix and lost to
the Clips.
Should be a good game.
