For a moment there, I thought Ham was talking about Austin when he mentioned "him". But dayum, AD is ripped!! [Inappropriate comment deleted. -CL]

I have never seen him ripped and look this lean.

He looks totally different. Never seen him this in shape at the start of camp.

Is strength really his issue, though?

Nobody else. Now not so sure.
I really don't understand people saying he is no center.

I mean in terms of durability (i.e., whether he will play 70+ games).

Maybe will give him a better base to land or the muscle could absobe a little more shock?

Being stronger is always better.

Maybe you're assuming that means bulkier?

This is great, but I’m more worried about him rolling his ankles! That’s the bug-a-boo… Same for LBJ…

Offseason workout videos just don't do it for me anymore. Gotta show it on the court.

Even against guys like Zubac, S. Adams, and Valančiūnas that strength will come in handy.

From what remember AD about 2 years ago put on a lot of muscle..it made him strong, but perhaps slightly slower. Than last year I think he went lean..faster but a little less strength.

This AD looks both strong and lean the best of both worlds..so yes I think the league has been put on notice..they better hope he is injuried otherwise he is coming for them.

I feel like this is what he does every off season in terms of prepping for the NBA season, this time it does seem like he’s being more serious about himself, you also don’t want him trying to push it to much so badly that he ends up tweaking something on his body

Last year he was rumored to not having done much in the offseason and you could see it with the shape he started the season in.

These workouts this year definitely coincide with what Ham said about the team asking him to commit to them as they would commit to him with an extension.

If he can stay this prepared every year, he deserves every penny.

When AD is healthy and focused, he is top 10.
