Lakers/Memphis game 6 would be on Friday at the same time as the Kings/Warriors game 6.

To avoid having to stupidly put one of those games on NBA TV..Lakers will close it out tonight.

LeBron is shooting 18.5% from three

What's weird is that the people who should be shooting the threes are shut down after they miss a few yet Bron always has the green light.

At least AD is shooting them way less and only taking them in wide open, end of clock situations, but LBJ needs to do the same.

Reaves, DLo, Malik need to keep shooting them until they start going in.

Is this right? 18.5%? LMAO lawd.

I mean on the bright side, the law of averages has to kick in - he is a mediocre shooter at worst from three, he is due for 5-6 made threes game if he is really shooting that poorly

FYI: Neither team is great from the 3 Point arch.
The Lakers shoot 34.6% (25th), while the Grizz check in at #23 with 35.1 %.
The team that gets hot from deep will have the best chance at winning this game.
LBJ and Beasley are overdue. I think LBJ's deep ball will be fine but Beasley has to put up or pack it in for the rest of the series.

That's a misleading figure. The Lakers are at 37% from 3 in their last 20 games, which is roughly the post-trade-deadline stretch. Grizzlies, surprisingly, were at 37.5% themselves.

Yup. Looking at full season stats for this team are incredibly deceptive. The Lakers are 10-3 with losses to the Bulls, Clips, and T-Pups going back to March 26th. They should win this game. They're very hot.

As I understand it the Lakers can't be on NBA TV so it would be the GS/Kings game.

This would be a great game for our Team 3 pt shooting to come back......if we can get hot from outside - bron, reaves, DS, Rui, D lo, Beas - who with the exception of Rui have generally shot poor from 3 so far we could take this game....but it's going to be tough no matter what.

^Its wild to me that our fans complain about the whistle...

Since the "Boston Massacre", the whistle blowers been firmly on our side.

And home court advantage throughout the playoffs woulda been nice, but its not like we have been penalized as the away team either...

The play-in game vs Minny at Crypto, we was +9 in FTAs
Game 1 in Memphis: wash
Game 2 in Memphis: wash
Game 3 at Crypto: we was +7
Game 4 OT at Crypto: we was +10

Laker fans, don't be that crowd. Other teams are seeing green when it comes to us and the whistle. Since that beantown letdown, the refs have ditched those colors and worn ours into the playoffs. Hopefully the bball gawds remain in our cheering/whistling section.

that doesn't show the whole pictures. game 4 was clear evidence that the refs are calling ticky tact fouls on one end but letting the grizziles got away with a lot of hard contact on the other. +10 is misleading since 4 of them were intentional fouls by the grizzles.
Lakers lead the league at +5.6 FT per game, and we have players that got fouled a lot (AD/LBJ), and players that bait cheap fouls (AR, DS)

Yes the refs allowing a physical game goes towards the MEM advantage because their DPOY is a foul magnet

If he is allowed to foul all over the place it gives them a huge defensive edge

@Mad: I’m not going to refute your perception on how the refs call these games. I just know for a fact that as a team, we’ve benefited more from the whistle than the Griz have. I know what my eyes would be doing if an opposing fanbase had more attempts from charity and still complained about the whistle…let’s just say, that’s not how eye roll.

This is where I'm at too. They've been trying pretty hard to keep JJJ in the game. That said, JJJ has improved in that respect and AD and LeBron haven't been driving at him enough.

If they call the same both ways, the disparity will be bigger because we lead the league in that department by a mile. Why? Because we suck at shooting 3s and we attack the basket a lot. I am not sure FT number tells the whole story. free throw number is very dependent on style of play

Killer instinct is going to be needed tonight

You know that Memphis is going to come out on fire they’re going to hit every shot we’re not gonna get any of the calls

The Lakers need to keep it close, and at the end of the game, be flawless

The Lakers need to keep it close, and at the end of the game make sure Austin Reaves is in the game.

Per Buha

Darvin Ham says Anthony Davis can “pretty much do everything” with his hip soreness injury and it’s just a matter of pain tolerance management.

Ibuprofen and cortisone will get him through it.
