Hey cmon stop selling steph short. He isn’t a difference maker on defense but he’s as good as almost anyone has ever been on offense.

Lakers/Warriors rivalry a thing?
Even the fan base?

My wife and I were recently at 24 hour fitness in San Mateo dripped up all in Lakers gear.
To no surprise everyone there dripped up in warriors and niners gear.

Everyone was pretty cool though.

I even ran like 7-8 full court games. First couple games with bum squads but people kept on picking me up to run with their squads.

Felt the love in San Francisco even when I was rocking all my Lakers stuff. Can’t say it was the same story back in the Kobe championship days

The players of warriors and the lakers are super tight, and it was never a rivalry because they won during our dog years. I root for the warriors too(when they don’t play the lakers), they are super likable players and fun to watch

Grizzles is a must win for us. Toronto is going to be tough and the knicks are the hottest team in the league

Warriors have only been relevant for a decade or so, so I don't think the rivalry is bitter. Besides many Warriors fans are bandwagoners.

Besides 3 point shooting, curry doesn’t have anything over Kobe

No need to shame Steph’s defense. Which imo isn’t that bad and has improved drastically over the years.

Is he Kobe? Of course not different position and size.

Is he still an all time great? ABSOLUTELY

Just gotta respect greatness in all shapes and forms if you truly love the game of basketball.

Plus what Steph did tothe celtics last summer should be appreciated loudly by every single Lakers fan on earth 🙏🏀🙏🏀🙏

The Lakers for whatever reason seems to match up well with GS. It’s like the anti-clippers.

I think most of it is GS isn’t this particularly lengthy, athletic defensive team. They tend to beat with their hot shooting and your inefficiency.

However there is something to GS struggles at staples/crypto. Even when the Lakers were tanking they would give GS problems. Talking Steph/Klay era here.

If this team will be intact next season, Bron and AD can load manage all they want and this team will still be in the playoffs. Maybe Bron can just rest after 50 games and just comeback in the playoffs lol. He always got injured after tge all star break.

yeah we beat them even with our trashiest teams led by Clarkson. They are bad in Staples. Still, quality win today

Well folks will always pick guys who can play lol.

I mean the rivalry is still there I go back-and-forth all the time and like when I'm on the BART I might get somebody that make a little side comment and just and I'll make a comment and just back but it's never like a hard-core Aggro rivalry. It certainly doesn't feel like back in the day when we were at our height and they were a mess and they hated the Lakers. There are certainly those hard-core fans who still feel that way but I think with their own success combined with a lot more casual fans because of that success the rivalry has toned down a bit.

Comparing Curry to 2006-2008 version of Kobe sure Curry is better offensively. You put MJ and Kobe in this era and have them focus on the modern game and not primarily on the least efficient shots in the game in mid-range jumpers and its a completely different ballgame completely. Kobe and MJ took too many "bad" inefficient shots that we did not know were that terribly inefficient back in the day. There is no way anyone can tell me without proper analytics, Kobe and MJ would not have as high TS% as a James Harden in his peak

Season-saving win by the Lakeshow. AD flat-out imposed his will on this one from opening tip.

Some of Ham's lineups had me really scratching my head, but hopefully things will work themselves out when D'Lo returns.

Bring on the (Ja-less) Grizz!

Next season, Lakers should do all they can to secure a playoff spot in 50 games. Then rest Bron after.

Well I can’t control selective reading, but my posts are in the database if you want to see my positivity

I don’t sugarcoat and the past 2 seasons specifically is not up to Laker standards tbh.
