I really wish people would stop doing this and set up these unrealistic expectations that we’re gonna blow teams out every week just because we’ve been doing it doesn’t mean we’re gonna do it every week. This could be a close game.

A team with Irving and Doncic should never be considered an easy game.

This is correct. Luka is arguably the best player in the league. That never makes for an easy game.

Kyrie is a top 20 player when his head is on right. This will be a tough game that will require focus.

I mean the worst part of this is happen to sit through the Gameday thread and watch people lose their (bleep) like we’re the best team in the league, playing the worst team in the league, the whole game being upset

Be realistic if our team hangs with this team, be happy, we improved at the trade deadline, but these guys have not played together very much and we’re going to be D’Angelo Russell minus

They have Hardaway Jr, Wood & Reggie who can shoot 3’s, we have to do better at guarding or moving them off that shot!

Plus Ham has to decide which superstar they want to not go off, if they allow both to get 30 or more we’re in trouble!

Don’t be slow to get back on defense complaining to refs & EVERYONE BOX OUT on defensive boards!!!

If AD and Bron play well we will win.

If they play like last game, we will likely lose.

If we win with AD and Bron playing badly again, then this team is really good.

No Kleber for Dallas today against the Lakers. One huge defensive weapon for the Mavs that’s still out.

D’Angelo Russell is going through a pregame workout, but Darvin Ham says he seriously doubts Russell will play against the Mavericks.

Ham says Dennis Schröder will be the starter at point if Russell is not able to play (as expected).

This turd can't wait to have Dennis start again.

Like Russ why can't he come off the bench and make loonie start

Lakers officially rule out D’Angelo Russell against the Mavs.

I’d put Vando on Luca, he can do it, his length would really help slow Luca down. No one can stop Kyrie one on one, but at least Dennis will make him work harder. Kyrie is too quick for Reeves. If we can keep Kyrie out of the paint and hope Luca and Kyrie are not have career nights from range we’ll be OK.

I think the best strategy is to use our depth to have a Clippers/Kings like game and hope Luka's fat slows him down at the end.

I agree, the biggest problem with D'Lo being out is that Dennis gets elevated to being a Starter, which WEAKENS the PG position on the bench....!

Remember how the Lakers 28 point - 4th Quarter lead was cut to 12 or 14 with the Bench players being "leaderless" in the GS game?

Hammy should start Reeves and retain Dennis to replace LeBron and lead the Bench mob...

For this particular game it makes sense as Dennis is needed for the Kyrie matchup.

In other games, I’d go with Reaves before I go to Walker IV

Schro makes the most sense as a starter against Kyrie. It may or may not work out, we're all speculating...but if Ham didn't start Schro it would be malpractice due to Schro's point of attack defense and familiarity of running the offense all season as the starter.

Dennis has been pretty good and Ham did move him to the bench pretty quickly after the trade deadline. I think Reaves would be the better fit, but that also probably means defending Kyrie. Reaves could get into foul trouble if we started off with that.

When the lakers are the second game of a back to back, on national tv, it’s always a close game down to the wire or goes OT. Every single time…smh

I think 4th is the highest the lakers can realistically reach so it makes it interesting if the suns blow a game like this one.

Looks like bucks n Milwaukee are closely matched but if I had to guess bucks are the better team. They are playing with freak and Middleton isn’t himself yet.

Refs gonna give Vando two quick fouls aren’t they?

Won’t be allowed to breath on Doncic this game.
