5 game win steak is the longest in the NBA, tied with Memphis

That’s a little much. The Nets I would say takes that title currently. They are 9-1 in their last 10 games.

Lakers doing good so far with all things considered, but they need a big, significant run to be playoff contenders again.

The same kings team had a 7 game win streak earlier. We just need to keep plodding

We were 11-19 when Shaq got surgery on company time then rampaged thru the rest of the season going 0.750 on way to 50 win season... Let's do that

Team would be in the thick of the playoff standings if AD wasn't injured so often.

We assume. Who knows what TBs evolution would be along with the leash the other guys are getting. Let’s not forget the OT game against Celtics. Bron and AD were horrible.

IMHO we are playing well because we are running and are a little chaotic.

We should be better with AD but not if we revert to early in the season play.

Something was wrong with both AD and Bron physically in the beginning of season. AD particularly didn't look athletic at all then the Bucks game and he turned into MVP since then the foot, ugh

Maybe. We’ll see with AD. A stress injury probably means the pain will return once he starts to play again. Then it becomes a tolerance thing which he doesn’t seem to have.

I am excited we are competitive , we just have to wait to see where we land. I’m happy we are out the #1 pick sweepstakes

This completely ignores the fact that the teams above us are losing all of the teams pretty much are losing

This is a good point. If Anthony Davis was healthy, we probably would not have gotten the emergence of Thomas Bryant things happen for a reason. Now we know the Thomas Bryant can play and we’re going to be able to incorporate that whenever Anthony Davis comes back.

I'm not ignoring that. The premise was the Lakers being called here "the hottest team in the NBA. Which is just factually, not true currently.

Hopefully....Coach likes to play small...regardless of what big is playing well. I hope they get to play together at some point.

It’s a stress thing not a stress fracture. There is a difference. Hopefully they caught it soon. Enough that it doesn’t turn into a pain tolerance thing.

I don’t care if they’re the hottest team in the NBA just keep stringing together wins. The other teams in the NBA are losing.

I would say the Mavs are the hottest team. Doncic could be a GQ model after he’s done in the NBA. Marjanovic isn’t bad either,
