would you take him for the rest of our cap space next year? Yes or no. Does he make us elite? i suppose it would be a AD/Green/LBJ front court. I'm not sure how draymond could potentially fit or not.

He's not worth $30m+... I think Green won't be as effective outside of the Warriors system. Plus he's on the downside of his career.

No. He’s one of the worst contracts in the league. Has no value outside a team like the Warriors. A small ball no offensive threat center.

What assets would we even have to trade?

32

Even I don't like AD turning 30 soon. Other than Lebron, I don't want to sign any player over 30 for max money. You saw how old and terrible we were last year. I don't wanna go back to that again.

I think that's assuming he opts out of his contract after this season. When we have $30M in capspace.

I think people completely under appreciate how good Draymond is when he plays in big games like the playoffs. No way they beat the Celtics without him.

That being said, he misses a lot of games (average of about 50 games the past 3 seasons), will be 33 next season and I don't trust his body holding up after years of playing undersized center. I think the Warriors may entertain trades so they can keep Poole and not have to deal with possibly losing him in 2023 FA.

Knowing Jeanie and LeGM, they’ll sign him for all our cap space if he’s available

Oh you know they would. At the downside of his career too.

He’s a perfect fit for their MO. Strong brand recognition and a Klutch client. Maybe a 3-way with Indy where Turner (or Hield) goes to GS?

I don't think his signing would be a HIT!

HELL NO

I love what he brings to a CuRRY-Thompson team because they can hide his horrific offense and they enhance his (bleep) play making by moving incredibly well off the ball. They hunt for shots. LeBron would average 50 assist next to those 2 savages. But anyways:

No.

Also Thompson is dumb. When i read the quote about Green should being able to yell at anyone I was like this is not good.... It got to greens head

Don't we need shooters? Green is the opposite of a shooter.

conspiracy theory:

1. poole is on the verge of signing a mega extension, means draymond isn't getting paid next year.
2. draymond/klutch/trae/lebron already know this and they've telegraphed draymond to LA and yes draymond decided to "ham it up" by creating tension/drama - and yes the video was leaked by klutch
3. draymond's value has suddenly tanked and the "disney" rated warriors don't want that image on the team.
4. lakers still need that shooter, still need a wing defender.
5. pacers really need to get rid of turner and hield
6. warriors want draymond gone and turner is a pretty damn good replacement, if even a substantial upgrade over draymond.

to LA -> draymond, hield
to Pacers -> westbrook, 1 FRP from LAL and 1 FRP (protected) from the warriors
to Warriors -> turner

Jones
AD/Draymond
LBJ/Reaves
Hield/Nunn/Walker
Schroder/Bev

Hield/Schroder as a backcourt gives you shooting, playmaking and at least adequate defense (i think).

Bev/Nunn/Reaves/Draymond + Walker is easily the best bench rotation in the league.

Only Schroder and Jones are minimum players here and obviously Schroder is worth more than the minimum. Reaves doesn't count because he is still technically on his rookie contract. In other words, having your top 9 players NOT be minimum players is probably a very good thing.

11. JTA
12. Brown
13. Bryant
14. Christie
15. Gabriel

^^That's how it should be in terms of overall depth.

Draymond will not work anywhere outside of the Warriors. If anyone is dumb enough to sign him for a max, just consider your franchise dead til his contract expires. These last Finals showed he's slowed down and can't shoot. So what is he now, a 4 that can pass? ok. His claim to fame was he could guard 1-5 and could space the floor occasionally. At his currently ability his value on other teams shouldn't be looked at more than above the mid-level, and that's because of his championship experience.

I believe this to be true as well. Again... why would GS give up Draymond and a 1st for Turner?

This is not the same Green from 3-4 years ago. Not even close. His athleticism has declined significantly, although the defensive instincts are still there. His 3pt shot is completely gone, too. He was a total liability in the finals and got outplayed by Kevon Looney. Didn't think Kerr had it in him to bench Green during crucial moments, but that's the reality of having a player who can't shoot. He's also a bigger basket case than Kyrie Irving IMO. Drove Kevin Durant out and now the speculation begins on Poole.

Did we watch different Finals games? I thought he was tremendously important for them b/c of his switchability to at least stay in front of Tatum/Green.

He played 36mpg, averaged 6 points/8 redounds and 6 assists a game. He was also really big in the close out game.
