I think SUNS are done. They had their chance last year and CP3 screwed them when mattered

Even after losing the Finals last year... I thought Celtics were the favorite to win it all... Brogdon/Gallo was a nice pick up. But they lost Gallo to a season ending injury. They still waiting for Robert Williams to come back.

Yeah not worried about the Suns…Foston on the other hand…yikes. I hope Milwaukee is up to the task. Nets have already proven they will mentally quit against the Celtics.

Honestly feels like it's Boston's championship to lose this season, and they would have won last season if Curry didn't go supernova on them. As of right now, there's no clear cut better team in the league. The Warriors are imploding and haven't found a way to incorporate their "young core", although some will argue Kerr isn't the best coach for young players. Suns are complete frauds, and CP3 will get hunted on defense. Jokic and Luka are carrying mediocre and injury prone teams.

I don't think the Warriors are imploding. They have complacency from winning so much. I expect them to be in the Western Conference Finals at the very least.

The Celtics have to go through Milwaukee and the Nets (you can't dismiss their talent). It's not a cake walk for Boston.

We are still also very early in the season. I think we will get a better idea of where teams are by the All Star break.

By the way the Lakers are not the only star driven team that in underachieving. I expect some of these teams to get it together and maybe be a threat.

Warriors
Sixers
Heat
Timberwolves
Clippers
Mavericks
Blazers

June is an eternity away. Who knows what happens until then.

They do look good, but I think the Bucks will still stand in their way if Middleton is back. They win that series last year if they have Middleton, quite easily IMO.

If there’s one thing that should be keeping the Lakers front office and ownership group up at night is the fact that the Celtics are the best team in the NBA.

If they’re obsessed about championships and preserving a rivalry then this should be considered DEF CON 5.

Warriors - A big wildcard and predicated entirely on the health of Curry
Sixers - Doc Rivers. Nuff Said.
Heat - Not enough talent outside of Butler and Adebayo. Overachieve year after year.
Timberwolves - Not as talented as the Grizzles, but who knows.
Clippers - Two injury prone stars who are less available than Lebron and AD.
Mavericks - Luka will be worn out or hurt by the ASB. Cuban is inept at roster construction
Blazers - Maybe if Lillard, Nurkic and Hart are healthy but I still don't see them being better than the Suns, Grizzles or Pels

Looks like Foston will give me a reason to watch the NBA Finals again. I hate to be in this situation but it is what it is. Last year, they came close but if they kept going back there, eventually it's gonna happen.

No doubt the Celtics are good but they have 1 ring in 32 years. they arent a rivalry in the real sense being that they made their hay during a loosely regulated time. If modern BBall is the standard
lakers
bulls
SAS
GSW
all have more rings. I get the rivalry but I have never lost a debate with a boston fan.

For sure. This is more about the current situation where the Celtics are set up nicely to get one or two while the Lakers look like Knicks west.
