Whoever wouldn’t do this is crazy. That’s a generational talent there and we are going to be in full rebuild in 2 years anyway and it’s not like we are sacrificing a shot at the title. _________________ 14-5-3-12

Dude needs to put on some meat. Looking like an anorexic supermodel won't help with his post up game. Just wait until he tries to post up against big, muscular NBA players, he won't be able to establish position.
He could become like a typical EU bigs and shoot threes like Dirk but I don't like bigs shooting threes.
AD could be MVP this season. No way I'm trading him for one frp. We gave up like 5 frp for him.
Dude get 12 Free throws last game. He does a ton more than shoot 3s.
Hell, just play him at wing. It doesn't matter as much as you think it does.
I just don't like his frail build. He could be Kevin Garnet or he could be Shawn Bradley. I don't know how his frail frame would hold up under the physicality of the NBA.
Basically, when you run and jump a lot and bang body against heavy masses, things tend to break. The bigger you are, the easier it is for things to break. Take Shaq, Yao and Bynum for example. Those guys were riddled with injuries. I think AD got injured easily also because the bigger you are and the higher you jump, your body just wouldn't be able to take the beating for long.
That's why I said, play him at the wing. I don't like how you're using Shaq, Yao, and Bynum as examples since they're completely opposite of his frame.
I think AD got injured because he had a very very late growth spurt, and it wasn't a small growth spurt either. Wembanyama is not that.
Some guys are NBA level bodies as a mid-teen. Some are in their early 20s (see KG and Brandon Ingram).
But as I mentioned before, give up his rookie year to work on building the NBA body, and then how much of this is a concern for you? _________________ Resident Car Nut.

The Westbrook 2022 season really did a number on all of us. _________________ 💜💛 🏆 👀 🍖 #18!!!

Rob found my thread:

Among the Lakers officials represented here at this second matchup between Victor Wembenyama and Scoot Henderson are Rob Pelinka and Jesse and Joey Buss.
A generational talent that is cost-controlled combined with cap space? In a NY minute please. I will continue to root for them but we are not winning another ring with Lebron/AD in my opinion. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit)
Victor is the best high school talent I’ve seen since Lebron. A once in a generation player. He’s a cheat code. 7’4, dribbles like a guard, shoots 3s, blocks shots like Gobert.
Yes, I’d trade AD/Lebron next year for Victor’s entire career.
Scoot is good, but I think his upside is limited. I see him as another Damion Lillard. Good player but not worth trading up for that
Edit - The league has been ruled by wings and perimeter players the last 2 decades. If you throw all your eggs into a basket, and that is for a draft pick potential guy, I would go for someone with the skills to dominate in today's league without huge injury concerns who plays a game like Lebron/Kawhi/Giannis.
The only comp is due to height and ability to stretch the floor. The way they move is world's apart. _________________ KOBE
Is Wembamyama a better prospect than Andrew Wiggins was? He only fetched Kevin Love in a trade. Wembamyama is too tall. I’ve never seen someone his height stay healthy.

We're seeing the envelope being pushed in every sporting discipline. _________________ KOBE

Yes and it’s not even remotely close. Wiggins wasn’t even a consensus #1 pick. I think there’s an argument Wembanyama is the best prospect we’ve ever had. _________________ 14-5-3-12

We had a long skinny guy named Kareem who retired at 42

If you traded both AD and LBJ for Scoot, it's still a ton of wide open cap room.
I highly disagree about "limited upside." Dude was killing G-league as a 17/18 year old. _________________ Resident Car Nut.

Would not think twice.
Unfortunately, the team holding the number one pick would laugh Rob off the phone. _________________ Everyting negative - pressure, challenges - is all an opportunity for me to rise.
