I just am curious what Bronny really thinks about it. Not everyone would want their dad hanging around like that, especially considering that LeBron is so much better than he will ever be and would completely overshadow him. Imagine dad out there averaging 30 while junior rides the bench. Probably not that thrilling for the kid.
In one interview he said it was his dream to play on the same court, whether on the same team or against his team. Somebody made a good point in saying that Bronny may not necessarily want his dad around all the time when the team is on the road and trying to “enjoy their 20’s” like most young people like to do.
Either way, Bronny may not be a one-and-done, and his parents may not like the idea of him leaving school early to get a vanity contract for a couple years. I don’t know what his parents will want, but I could see them wanting Bronny to get his degree in finance or business if he isn’t a slam dunk lottery pick.

Or maybe coach sets a curfew of 1am and LeBron tells Bronny, naw your curfew is 11:30pm young blood
I love it. I mean, from LeBron's point of view at least as a father. It shows the love — if you love your child — why wouldn't you want to spend time with him? Players in all sports, if they have any regret, often express they wish they could have spent more time with their family. This makes it nice and easy.
From Bronny, point of view, who knows? Might love it — OTOH, he might be like me, who was terrified by the thought of my Mom signing up to be team mom in elementary/junior high/high school.
From the spectacle/circus point of view it would be cool to see, but I would hate it if it meant he spent his last season/seasons on another team other than the Lakers.
It'll be really interesting to see how this plays out. Lets say a crap lottery team overreaches and drafts Bronny with a high pick just to entice LeBron to come over. How will LeBron feel after the initial honeymoon/hype period when the novelty dies down and now he's stuck on some mediocre lottery team that he is no longer good enough to carry to the playoffs? Seems like a weird way for an all time great to go out given it is his choice...

Don't understand people voting "obnoxious and tacky." This is something that never happens, or rarely happens, you have to cross sports to find an example. If I was in Lebron's shoes, I would want it too. To play with my kid, or at least against my kid. Perhaps people who vote obnoxious and tacky don't have kids of their own yet? Also, it's not like Lebron is lingering around the league, completely out of prime, and just begging for a roster spot. LOL!

I respect LeBron as a dad and wanting to mentor his son, but if he leaves a very good or great Lakers team that could contend for a chip in 2024-25 just to play with his son, it would be very selfish of him. _________________ Lakers 49ers Chargers Dodgers
I don't care, as long as it's not on the Lakers. Just don't bring that drama to the Lakers and we're good. _________________ Yi Jianlian Fanboy. Respect The Chair.
Starting anew. I'm retiring my main.
I could see him staying at USC 2-3 seasons. He'll love college life and no guarantee he's even a 1st round NBA prospect. Year 1 should tell us a lot about his progress. His NIL $ alone will be more than his 1st year rookie contract anyways. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals
Similar to when Eddie Van Halen kicked original bassist Michael Anthony out of Van Halen so that his son would play bass next to him... I get it, it's a Dad thing
It has never been done before in the history of the league. I love it.
Its been done in MLB. Ken Griffey Jr and Sr. I would think its similar along those lines. His son will probably appreciate it later in life, but yeah it could be kinda wierd.

What if Bronny is a scrub but gets playing time anyway due to LeBron’s influence? Could lead to some awkward dynamics. Reminds me of Doc Rivers coaching Austin. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:
