Ben Wallace teaching the Laker bigs on how to play defense and rebound would be a welcome sight. |

You have a choice. You can joyously scream "The season is lost before it starts." Or you can say, "Let's see what happens."
I prefer to be in the second group. The first group seems pointlessly depressing and unnecessary to me, but if that's what you want to do, that's your business. |

Hi IG, there is no context here. Is this just your wish or is it something being reported? I can't tell.... |

Ben Wallace was at the Lakers practice today as a guest. There are some videos of him talking to the guys, including AD |

As long as AD stays healthy all we need is the Wiggins types or LaVine types. |
Jeanie only pays “superstars” max money. She will likely not see Wiggins as that. |

She saw Westbrook as a superstar. Assuming we let WB's contract fall off our book, we'd still only have about $30M in capspace next year. Not enough to sign either Wiggins or Irving. |

Feel like the bigger story here is that Jeanie sold the team to a Pacers beat writer. |
You would think that there would be more discussion about the Lakers being sold. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

honestly it sounds like rob told them 1 FRP and that's it and then gave them a soft deadline which expired last week. indiana probably thought we were bluffing and would cave. rob did not and now it seems we are going to start the season with our roster. the 1 FRP is probably not even on the table right now and the pacers are going to look like epic morons if they don't get anything for turner. all cuz why? all cuz the pacers really needed to get one over the lakers (here's looking at you Pop and Ainge) |

I think it is simpler than that, I think that Indy only deals with Rob if they are ripping him off. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Pacers will probably end up getting something for Turner. It just won’t be any picks like how the Pistons didn’t get any picks for Grant. But of course since they can’t rip off the Lakers, they’ll make a trade like that out of spite like the Thunder with Paul George. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

As opposed to what? A Schroder and Beverley backcourt? It takes a team effort to defend the superstars. We'll see what Ham manages to do. |
How about a backcourt that actually makes sense? Like Nunn and Reaves? Or maybe Beverly and Reaves? _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

Was watching Dennis’s FIBA highlights and his passing looks much better then in 20-21. Still seems to have that burst too. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

Correct, but one report said they would want Lakers to also take on Theis which would then mean the overall trade would add an additional $800k to the Lakers. Not a ton |
Could we maybe re-route Theis somewhere else? We dont need 4 centers 5 if you count AD lol? |
How about Theis+Nunn to Suns for Crowder? |
Lakers->Crowder, Turner, Hield, Theis
Pacers->Russ + 1FRP + 2nd rounders or a swap
Suns->Nunn, Gabriel + 2nd rounders or a swap |
From the Pacers' POV this is the same deal they've been turning down the entire summer so I'm not sure why they'd do this. OTOH, from the Lakers' POV this is the type of deal for which I'd give up 2 FRPs if you're adding on Crowder to the long-rumored Indy haul. In that case, Theis and Gabriel are probably are extraneous inclusions. _________________ Luxury Tax/FA Spreadsheet (Save to your Google Drive to edit) |

Yeah he only signs 6’6 or smaller nowadays unless it’s a PF/C. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

Good point, but I wouldn't put the Pelicans in that category. They did trade us AD for a reasonable enough package. Plus, back in the day (different management, I know) they traded us Kobe. |

I wouldn't worry about the Clippers. I would genuinely worry about making the playoffs first given how the West is always so competitive every year. This year, we're seemingly going to have Kawhi, Zion and Jamal available to an already insane Western conference.
But I think Pat Bev would have to be the dedicated wing defender. Maybe he could hit up Tucker and ask him for pointers. I don't know. If Tucker could do it, why can't Bev? Right? |
