He's out for tomorrow but Ham did say that he's making progress in practice. So hopefully he won't be a complete Kendrick Nunn 2.0

Troy Brown Jr should be able to boost some of our shooting woes not saying he’s gonna be another Curry but if he can shoot 36% from 3 that will help us.

Lol

But I am glad to see that Troy isn't going to be KNunn2021 2.0.

I don't really know anything about him or his game so I'm interested to see him play.

Finally. Let's not expect too much though, guys.
I expect some hustle plays if he even plays.

I’m hoping he can be the wing defender we’re looking for. Makes the Turner/Buddy trade even more of a great deal

Been watching defensive highlights of tbj. I’m very excited about what he brings on that end.

Troy Brown Jr. Explains What He Can Offer Lakers Ahead Of Season Debut

Quote:
“Defensively just plugging in gaps using my length.
I see a lot of guys driving like through the nail — just being at that nail, being able to stunt, give guys like a quick second just to get back in front of the pick and rolls even on the X-outs, on the back sides.
Just being able to play that and force teams to make those hang passes, to buy us more time to get into sets.
I feel like a lot of guys are like driving and penetrating and we don’t have a lot of length to recover.
So that’s the biggest thing for me defensively and then offensively, just being able to create, being able to make plays rather and then obviously be able to shoot itself.”

Troy Brown Jr is no savior but I'm hopeful he can really help plug some majors holes for us.

AD, Jones
LeBron, JTA
Walker, Brown Jr
Reaves, Nunn
Beverly, Russ

Til Dennis returns, I'd be curious to see how this looks.

I am thinking he did help the Lakers, but needs some time to integrate.

What did you guys think of the lineup of AD/LBJ/Beverely/Brown/Walker?

Seems like has enough shooting to open the floor up more and defense and just enough length

Replace Russ with Troy and you have a way better team.

I liked what he showed. This is also why I want to cut Matt Ryan and bring in Moe Harkless.

Ham's defensive system looks good, so long as the players buy in. And having a bunch of 6'6-6'8 guys in JTA/Brown/Harkless to throw out there is the way to go.

We will revert up to at least 33% from 3 (which was the last place team last year) so if we can continue this defense, and hit 3s at a better clip, we can win games.

Ah, the draft where we should have had a pick. Imagine we added Doncic on what we already had

yea lol, that's what I meant, they look like legit wing size, I'd be comfortable throwing them against the Tatums/KDs for the bulk of the time instead of PatBev/Russ

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but only JTA is known as a defender, right?

Brown seems like a jack of all trades, master of none. Does a lot, including play defense, but not exceptionally.

Troy Brown Jr.'s 3-point stroke has looked good tonight. He's 4 for 5, with the rest of the Lakers 4 for 23 (29.6% overall).

Keep it up.

Troy is settling in to his role, he had another decent game tonight. (12 pts, 8 rbs 4-10 FG/4-6 treys). His effort & his defense are both good.
