I don't get it all these guards that are 6'5 and under and are not good shooters. When you need 6'7" 6'8" wings that can stretch and cause headaches on defense.

Has length, good basketball IQ, incredible passer, hustles, can spread the floor, and is young - I like the signing.

Lonnie Walker has a 6'10 wingspan.

Doesn't THT have that and where's his defense?

Troy Brown Jr. must be a Lakers fan since he's from Nevada. Welcome to the Lakers, Troy!

Those 6'7" or taller wings are out of the Lakers price range. We all knew this would be a slim pickings free agency. Not sure why some of you are acting surprised

Kevin Knox signed for 3 mil, he’s not out of the Lakers price range. Looks as if he would have been a better use of a partial tpMLE than Walker…another 6’4” guard that can’t shoot and gets lost on defensive rotations. Now I get that Knox is no savior but he is 6’7” and shot almost 40% from three his second year. He was atrocious from three in his short time in Atl with limited action but he has shown in his other stints that he is an above avg 3 point shooter.

I don’t know if there are others but I would have wanted Pelinka to hold out on using the tpMLE, the only real chance to add a quality free agent, until options were exhausted instead of using it on Walker during the first hour of free agency. We aren’t likely to take a hit missing out on a player like Walker but adding a player like Thomas Bryant or TJ Warren could make a different and is worth taking a chance of waiting for whereas Walker isn’t someone we had to lock up quick with the tpMLE. Walker looks like a risky gamble even for the vet min.

To be fair 8 of the 13 guys on the roster are at least 6'6 and 9 players have a wing span of 6'10 or more. With only 2 players in their 30's

We have young wings now, they just aren't proven at all and we are rolling the dice on them

Since like a lot of you, I can only watch highlights to get some sense of what he might be able to offer. It looks like he has pretty good play making instincts and abilities for a non-PG.

I like his defensive athleticism too, and he appears to be a decent finisher around the rim and seems to be someone who will competently run the lanes on fast breaks.

Too bad he's not taller, though, but at least he's not shorter either.

Not every player out there wants or needs to play in Los Angeles... so let's keep that in mind and in the case of Knox, he may have the height but not the game of the bigger wings in the market that some people here thought the Lakers could get for the MLE. Most are looking for more $$$ and multi-year deal, the Lakers are not offering that

Everyone looks good in highlight films, of course, but you can see traits like good hands, hustle and athleticism in him that enable him to make those highlights. I'm intrigued!

I actually really liked Troy Brown Jr on the Wizards. He showed a lot of flashes of really good scoring ability. I actually have high hopes for him.
