Yup. If Dennis, Gabriel, and Brown Jr want some minimum deals, I'd love to see them return as well.

That's 6 guys I like at varying parts of the rotation.

Lonnie is our 3rd best player atm.

With AD/LBJ plus those 6...LW4/Reev3s, TBjr/Gabe, TBryant/Schroeder...it's a good 8-man start to building a roster...but even if the team brings back Russ on a team friendly deal the team would still need one more starter to be complete.

I'm all in for Turner, this year and next, for that additional starter:

Turner/Bryant
AD/Gabe
LBJ/TBjr
Walker/Reev3s
WB/Schroeder

Try and trade Nunn, Beverly and a first in 2029 for Turner and Damion Jones, JTA, and 2 seconds for Reddish.

Man, had to go deep to find Lonnie’s thread. last talked about over a month ago.
I’m not sure what this guys role will be coming back, but guessing it’s back at a SF position, which he is not. He’s not really a fit through with the starters more of a bench player for this team with his inability to find an ideal role with Schroder, AD and LeBron.
I think Troy Brown is a better fit though, so the idea of him coming off the bench with Russ, Reaves, Wenyen and TB is more appealing.
Bottom line, I think he is certainly an expendable piece in trade along with Nunn.

Gimme a top 3 (hopefully 5) protection and I'm down. Reddish helps cover the perimeter defensive range you lose with Turner, Turner covers Cam's below average 3 ball. Getting assets (without unprotected picks) and resigning them is the way to go. We are in trouble if we lose these descent role players just to end up signing one good one in the off season.

Finally listed as Questionable for today's game.
Hopefully he's good to go by the Boston game.

Lonnie Walker IV Taking Next Step In Rehab

Quote:
Per Kyle Goon of The Orange County Register, Walker and reserve LA guard Austin Reaves are set to be reassessed on Friday, ahead of the team's five-game road swing which kicks off this weekend.

Lakers say they have assigned guard Lonnie Walker IV to the South Bay Lakers for practice this morning. Walker will be recalled to LA later today following the practice.

I wonder why GM's and coaches don't choose starters and teams this way. It would be three peats left and right. Its so easy!

At least you were disciplined enough not to start a new thread for this one.

LOL! Thanks...every little bit helps.

I actually want player A-Beasley over player B-Walker as well...just wanted to show that they may be closer than perceived. Beasley is one dimensional, if his 3 ball isn't falling he may be ineffective...Walker can at least go to the rack if his shot is off. However, for what the team needs...a player that can create his own 3pt shot, Beasley fits better...not the sniper described tho and may be just as bad defensively as Walker.

I know it's sarcasm but GM's and coaches shouldn't do what we do...we're just ordinary people sharing opinions on message boards...without the misconception that it is anything other than that...right?

I don't see it. In fact I see the exact opposite. Every time he comes in even if its garbage time he's locked in and hitting shots.

LW4 balled out last night in 8 minutes.
Stats: 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-3 treys, 1 ast.)

He’s not sulking. Much like Monk, he’s trying to secure his next contract and he’s playing like it in garbage time trying to stand out with his scoring.

I like him as a microwave scorer and he showed that mentality. Unfortunately for him there are 4 guards ahead of him in the rotation and we have done with the small lineups. If it doesn’t cost us an exception I wouldn’t mind bringing him back in a sixth man role depending on how our other guard FAs shape out. Easy for me to spend someone else’s money though on what is probably a luxury. Otherwise it seems recognized he’s having a career year so hopefully we did him and Klutch a solid and he is rewarded in free agency.
