I was thinking after watching 30 for 30 rivalry other day, even if we regroup with or without Russ if we were to meet the Celtics in Finals next year I wouldn’t have much confidence in beating them for the 18th ring!
Reason being, gotta admit Celts Tatum, Brown & Smart got that taste & experience. We’d have to be %100 healthy to even compete with young legs & stay healthy for a 7 game series. The chances of us (older players) staying healthy is very slim!
We only have a chance next year if LBJ plays 30 minutes a game & AD’s legs with stand another season & he is motivated. In other words we’d need an awesome bench so our legs are fresh for a far more younger, motivated & talented team.
Yeah, it probably won’t happen one way or the other but just saying I believe the Celtics are in a better position than us to win a Chip if it came down to us meeting if remarkably the front office & players fall into place.
BTW, these hyped up opinions from so called experts having Kyrie joining Lakers is not to my liking & commitment to him when he has done everything to avoid playing games & being a TEAM player.
If you can trade Russ get 2-3 more fits than the crap that is being talked about. I’d take Brogdon/Hield combo or Dame in a heart beat. I don’t see the Wall thing happening either.
Hope we get a solid bench & stick to resting LBJ, cause he can’t play heavy minutes anymore or he’ll get hurt like any other old player. _________________ My Laker squad.

Just when you think the people on this board have reached the outer limits of strange thoughts with which to fill their minds ... |

They are a play-in team at best.

This would mean that the Lakers somehow got past the Warriors and if they did that, I would be pretty scared of LA as a Celtics fan. _________________ "Larry, you only told me one lie. You said there will be another Larry Bird. Larry, there will never, ever be another Larry Bird." — Magic Johnson |
