Thought he was solid. We need to give him a chance to develop properly. Especially if we continue to be bad.

He kind of fills a major team need, rangy wing defender. Too bad he's so young.

He looks so much more comfortable right now than he did in the summer league.

We shouldn't have to depend on a rookie, but he's looking more comfortable and given his defensive upside, I would like to see more of him instead of Nunn as of right now. Also more of Matt Ryan.

He's starting to catch up to the speed of the NBA game. Except for the really elite guards he seems to be keeping up better. Of course he's still making mistakes (guys are able to stop and draw the foul when he trails, he's still playing a little too far off his man sometimes). Also adjusted his release time on his 3pt shot. Was glacial before. Interesting that's it's starting to drop a bit more. Guessing he will have wild fluctuations in 3pt % for a while.

Great rebounder, stays active, not a ball stopper. Pretty impressive for a 19 year old.

Lakers rookie Max Christie sees rise to rotation as ‘icing on the cake’
Quote:
The week Christie has had would be a lot for any 19-year-old to take in,
playing games on three consecutive days from his South Bay debut to back-to-back nights for the Lakers,
culminating in a career-high 29 minutes in an NBA game (his previous high was 4:50).
For the moment, it seems the Lakers are comfortable installing their 35th overall draft pick out of Michigan State in the playing rotation,
needing his 6-foot-6 size and defensive intensity.

Ariza part deux is the upside I look for right now. Anything more is icing on the cake.

Max Christie in the G League against Santa Cruz tonight, per Lakers PR:

“Christie recorded 24 points (9-13 FG, 6-9 3FG), nine rebounds and one assist in South Bay’s win over Santa Cruz on Wednesday night.”

Keep it up.
I'm looking forward to year 2 Max!

Couple nice movement threes by Christie. Something nobody currently on the roster can do.

Give Christie Beverley's minutes, sign Pippen Jr and give him Nunn's minutes.

Here’s LAL rookie wing Max Christie getting some extra shots up after Thursday’s practice, a night after he hit 6 3’s towards 24 points.

This kid is gonna be a gamer.
Don't understand the folks who were being silly after summer league.

Max Christie is 10-22 (45.5%) from 3 this season. He shot 12-19 (63.2%) from 3 in the G-League.

You can’t teach size and length. If he improves on his three point consistency, he can be the 3&D specialist for years to come.

I don't see it.
Max is far more skilled at the same stage of their careers.
Ariza was living off athleticism.
