I hope we hold onto him in the coming years. A young cost-controlled two-way player is an amazing asset.

Cranjis McBasketball
@Tim_NBA
Dang Christie is up to 46% shooting on spot up 3s this season. 44% for his career.

Someone should tell Darvin Ham. Or maybe not because then he'd cut Christie's minutes for dare threatening to take playtime away from Prince.

This guy can be a star in his role. Of that I’m sure. We’ve wasted so much development time this year. We have to ride him and continue growing him. This dude on a lot of other teams would be a PROBLEM. He can easily be that 4th or 5th best guy on a roster that really takes you over the top.

He was great. He closes so many possessions with his rebounding.

He's clearly going to be a useful player going forward. Hopefully we him more playing time so he can develop further. Really valuable minutes for him tonight, at the beginning of the year he wasn't getting much playing time in minutes that mattered.

Max Christie is coming into his own. He understands his role and has been pretty consistent of late.
If he keeps it up at this pace, he'll earn plenty more playing time.

No sloopy passes/rookie mistake tonight, maybe playing alongside Bron stiffen him up a bit

It’s time for him to shine, vando and reddish will not be available for the next stretch, and he will get a lot of runs as POA defender

Max played 26 minutes tonight including the whole fourth quarter. He was a team High +12. Great experience for him.

And when he speaks, he’s so mature and intelligent. I like that he is earning a lot of minutes finally.

Care to provide specifics/explanation?

Sure. My specifics are the numbers that don't lie and the explanation is facts plus eye test. See link below for his stats in pre-season.

https://www.espn.com/nba/player/gamelog/_/id/4432582/max-christie

So those are my specifics (based on facts) and explanation.

Would you care to provide specifics/explanation for your assessment?

What does the eye test and facts say now ?

Exactly. TP and the rest of the Lakers handled Brunson, but Ham had Christie locked in on Donte, as he was the only other player that was killing us.

I know the kid is young, but he’s clearly is their remaining top perimeter defender, and has his stroke from outside realized. They need to show a commitment and investment into him as he’s going to the a free agent (restricted).

His defensive prowess really sticks out. He is by far the best perimeter guard defender. Just his defense alone warrants more playing time and I didn’t realize he also shoots that well from 3. This kid absolutely needs more playing time!

I think he’s also cut down on the TOs/the rookie mistakes. He’s ready for some of Vando minutes
