Congrats! I'm in a similar situation. My new offer should be coming through next week.
If gluttony is a sin, so is miserliness. The CEO at my now-former company was a renown miser and it's been getting worse over the last year. He's laying off everyone he can and when it was time to review and renew my employment contract, he decided I was expendable, too. He miscalculated and extended me for another 2 months because he didn't realize how much I had absorbed without complaining. Now, today is my last day and the flood of things that are coming his way will be eye-opening for him but I don't feel the least bit bad for him. He is a miserable POS and thinks he can spread out my workload to already overworked people (many of whom he's going to lay off as soon as he can manage it).
What's more, everyone on the outside that we deal with have grown to hate doing projects with the company. He doesn't see that because of the goodwill that I have out in the world that has smoothed things over.
I'm happy to be headed out. Onward! _________________ You are under no obligation to remain the same person you were a year ago, a month ago, or even a day ago. You are here to create yourself, continuously. - Richard Feynman |

Keep us posted. This market has me very encouraged to step back into the office and hearing stories of people moving on to bigger and better things gets me pumped. _________________ KOBE |
