Large Tornado Strikes Northern Michigan Town; Structures Damaged
less than an hour ago

A large tornado has struck the northern Michigan town of Gaylord, and preliminary reports say widespread damage has occurred.

Early reports from law enforcement said there was heavy damage to businesses along the western side of town. There were no confirmed reports of injuries or deaths.

The tornado was confirmed to be moving through the town Friday afternoon at about 3:40 p.m. EDT and traveled for approximately 15 minutes.

At least one large building collapsed while several cars were flipped and damaged. An RV and mobile trailer park was also heavily damaged.

More than 25,000 customers across northern Lower Michigan were without power by early Friday evening.

Gaylord is located in Otsego County and is home to about 4,000 residents.

This is a developing story. Please check back frequently for updates.

Well, the reason is right there is the name . . . shouldn't have named the town Gaylord if they didn't want to feel the weigh of God's wrath.

Insinuating that Our Lord is gay. What kind of modern-day Sodom have they got over there?

On the real, doe, this is Michigan, so I'm surprised the name hasn't already been changed to Armalite, MI or something gun related.
