“Employee will create and execute plans for all team members (~20).”

Salary: something 35% below market value.

If yes, put them at the top of the list.

He has two years remaining in his contract with Toronto.

Awesome. So we can expect a future FRP to be headed to Toronto.

It needs to be someone able to stand up to our stars. Vogle wasn't bad, but he never got mad, and never stood up to any of the guys. It has to be someone (like Rondo) that won't be "afraid" to stand up to those guys. Thus -

Phil Handy (we saw him do it to Lebron this season)
Howard / Rondo combo sounds good but experience isn't there.
Pop - Yeah right
Spoelstra - Yeah right
Nurse - Interesting, but would pair him with Rondo/Handy as assistants.
Coach K - too old
Phil Jackson comeback - Yeah Right
Quin Snynder - wouldn't get respect and most likely too much cocaine (joke)

I would Do Nick Nurse with a staff of Howard, Rondo, Handy, new shooting coach, defensive specialist.

There are only 30 of these gigs. Pretty much anyone who's not a current NBA head coach/top 10 NCAA head coach is in the mix.

I expect the next HC to be Johnnie Bryant.

Interesting choice, coached under Snyder and Thibs. Do you really think that the FO will take that gamble? I would love to see them gamble on a new coach but they seem so enamored with names.

I want LeBron as player-HC.. there was talk about this during his 2nd stint with the Cavs (when they had that Euro coach). Can't guarantee Rings, but I can guarantee Ratings! Esp when Lakers draft Bronny.

The Lakers should sign him as an offensive assistant, regardless of who the head coach becomes.

Nick Nurse would be tough because we'd have to trade draft capital & I'm unsure if we have the pieces to make his system work to the best of his ability.

Juwan Howard or Quin Synder are more palpable as options. I like Quin a lot but I think Juwan could probably manage the personalities the best of all the candidates we've had. I'm of certainty that LBJ & AD & even Russ if he's here need a former player to set them straight.

Lets hire Pat Riley back so we can 2-peat. We can have Riley hire Phil Jackson as an assistant so we can add in a 3 peat. We'll be the first team in the NBA to 5-peat. if we don't get a 6-peat, fire them all.

You're suggesting a coach that is tenured in Toronto, makes 8 M a year is going to come to LA to bathe in this (bleep) show? Seriously? Have you seen how much his rosters scramble on defense? Like our geriatrics that are set in their way are going to go along with that.

The only coaches we're going to land are young coaches that are looking for an opportunity or more likely another average to below average retread.

I would love to have Phil Jackson as an assistant coach/Consigliere, similar to what Larry Brown is doing for the University of Memphis right now.

Phil Jackson and his primary triangle style offense has no place in 2022 NBA basketball. Enough.
