Can't ever count on him to get too deep in a game, but in the regular season, the dude hardly gives up runs.

Yup, he's not our true ace, he's just our ace so far this season based on stats and results.

After his first 6 pitches were wobbly, I liked what I saw in Ferguson's return there. Fastball hit 95, and the break on the curve was good. Could certainly help us as we move forward. Still only 25 years old.

Don't think I've seen him hit that in years, certainly his first as a dodger

Looks like he got too cocky after that.

And then gives up a HR with his best fastball he's shown all year consistently in an outing, after a opposite field ground ball infield single against the shift.

Sometimes, you really just don't know, man.

Honestly, that's the best life Kimbrel has had on his pitches all year, easily.

They kept calling this a comeback win from being down 2-0. What's the definition of a comeback win? If you're trailing at any point in the game it becomes a comeback win?

At least we have our ace going tonight. Hopefully he can lock it down for 6-7.

Markus Lynn Betts
Frederick Charles Freeman
Trea Vance Turner
William Dills Smith (Designated Hitter)
Justin Matthew Turner
Maxwell Steven Muncy (2b)
Christopher Armand Taylor Jr.
Austin Scott Barnes
Gavin Thomas Lux

I had to look up which pitcher you were talking about. Well I'll be...Tony Gonsolin has a 1.33 ERA? Where'd this come from?

There are a lot of really low eras in the league right now with teams struggling on offense.

And Gonsolin has always put up some pretty good era numbers in the regular season. Its one reason I get disappointed in his postseason starts.

I always want him to be the #5 starter so he can win some games during the season and only get added to the bullpen in the postseason.

Around MLB:

--------------------

Josh Hader might have a historic year this year:

14/14 saves in 36 games. That's on pace for a 63/63 season.

0.00 ERA as well.

0.53 Whip

---------------

Yankees are red hot. (26-9). On pace for a 120-42 season.

We're 22-12, still on pace for a 105-57 season.

I am hoping for a Dodger/Mets and Angels/Yankees league championship series.

If that were to happen, we should give Chase Utley a call for old times sake.

I'm going to pass on hoping to face deGrom / Scherzer / Bassit / Carrasco

Especially with our pitching staff

Lol. I think he's still got a position in the organization no?

As hot as they’ve been I would be surprised to see them keep that up as it’s so difficult to keep winning at that rate. Would be fun to knock them off after they win 120 games though.

Looking at history, setting regular season win records doesn’t guarantee anything in the playoffs. The Patriots were 16-0, then 18-0 if you include the playoffs and lost the Super Bowl. Some of the 15-1 teams didn’t win it either.

Golden State won 73 games and lost in the Finals.

Two teams in major league history won 116 games and didn’t win in the playoffs.

I don’t know enough about hockey but I know some teams had amazing seasons and lost, and like in baseball, the best regular season team in hockey often doesn’t win a championship.

Of course, I know you were just talking about the regular season.

There are couple of teams that did well in regular season that won it all.

72 Dolphins
95-96 Chicago Bulls
