I feel like this is the worst team we could play to start the season. Steph is in mid season form, the warriors have an established system, and D. Green has been the AD stopper. Hopefully we can punish them in the paint and on the glass.

Nah, if you gonna look bad, do it up front, see what need fixing and you get 81 more games. Better than pseudo looking good

I don’t think I have been less excited about a Lakers season for many years. I think it's a combination of such rapid and complete turnover of the players (I’ll really miss Kuz and AC) and a lot of excitement for baseball following the incredible race between the Dodgers and Giants over the last few months.

Anybody else feeling the same way? Hopefully we win big tonight and that starts getting me excited for the Lakeshow again.

Feels like a loss, hope I’m wrong.

1. Steph just went for 40+
2. Poole, Toscano, Wiggins seem to have good games against the Lakers.
3. The Lakers aren’t ready defensively based on preseason.

Seems like this game will just be a continuation of the preseason. We shall see…

The Warriors don’t match up well with the Lakers, especially since Curry is always cold. This is a great opportunity to start off the season well after that awful preseason.

I feel kind of same. The reason is that I really don't like some of the players ( Westbrook, Bradley, DJ) and also changing team a lot always makes me less exciting. I really like when we have teams with good chemistry and teams that are together longer period of time and with identity. This team doesn't have any identity. Understandable because its completely new team.

Our 4th highest-paid player and possibly 5th highest player won't play tonight. That leaves the big 3 with vet min players. If Nunn can't play we will likely see a 9 man rotation.

Starters: Russ, Baze, Lebron, AD, DJ.
Bench: Dwight, Monk, Carmelo, Rondo.

Yea not feeling good on tonight’s game due to what I witness in the preseason amd the fact the Warriors are playing well right now. Also history is that Lebron always starts the season slow and I believe he always seems to lose the first game of the season.

Warriors are more dangerous from last season with the addition of Porter/Iggy/Bjelica and emergence of Poole.

Hope they prove me wrong and shows preseason was just preseason.

This is not a good match up for DJ… Is Bradley available? Cause we can use his on ball defense tonight.

If they lose it has nothing to do with preseason. Preseason is meaningless.

Doubt it.

I hate to agree with you but I do....I feel like AD will insist on shooting outside J's when everyone knows he should be dominating inside. I cringe but I feel like a 102-80 deficit going into the 4th. Man I hope I'm wrong.

Feeling the same way. Don't like that the NBA starts so early now, and doesn't help we're in the midst of MLB playoffs. I guess players today need more rest between games than those of the 80s and 90s . Either way, very glad that NBA basketball is back and looking forward to getting the season going, just not nearly as hyped as usual for season opener.

Yo! Have fun! Imma have my Johnny black and couch ready! Let’s go!

I'll be in my Lazyboy with cup holder. I use to have a Heineken in the cupholder. I'm on the wagon (AGAIN) so it'll be water or lemond aid. I hope the game is exciting. When it's not I tend to fall asleep.

Lakers should beat the Warriors. It won't be a cakewalk. Dubs are still without Klay Thompson. This injury is going into its 3rd season. He still hasn't been cleared to scrimmage. I wonder if he'll play this season?

LET'S GO LAKERS!!! BRING #18 TO STAPLES!!

Lakers expected to go with a starting lineup of Russell Westbrook, Kent Bazemore, LeBron James, Anthony Davis and DeAndre Jordan in tonight’s season-opener against the Warriors, league sources tell @YahooSports.

So much for AD at the 5 for when matchup dictates.

Get ready for Poole and Steph 3 bombs with DJ chasing on perimeter.

This is one of the opponents you just roll with AD at the 5.
