What about now? Still too soon? What’s the narrative, let’s wait until when?...after all star break? Nunn comes back? Playoffs? We just need to be patient right? SMH

Saw this coming from a mile away

“Hanging from Rafters" Oh yea, the sky is definitely falling for sure and I’m not joking.

...but we have to recognize the sky is falling so changes can be made.
If the problems are ignored they will magnify.]

Hope things get better, losing hope 😒

I’m not panicked. I watch the games out of robot-like habit, then after pausing the game to eat or something I accidentally see the score (another loss) and I never watch the rest of the game.

This team that I’ve enjoyed so much over the years, gives me no hope, and I’m always looking for other things to do when they’re on. I don’t need to see them go down losing. I’ve got other things to do. Let’s see if they make the playoffs. This team is terrible.

I already panicked when Rob signed Gasol for 3-pt shooting after we'd just won the championship with both of our centers probably not attempting a three.

Gasol, Harrell and DS were not the types of defensive oriented players that Vogel prefers. Neither are WB and Melo. These players just give you the "offensive glory" but defense wins games and championships.

Why is this guy allowed to troll all the time? Most of his posts are sarcastic and add little to the discussion. Smh

16-17 ... was I trolling? I was able to call it out from the start.

Is it time to panic? Well, panic basically means: a sudden overpowering fright , acute, extreme anxiety. I have no reason for any of those. So, no, but I realize that won't be the case for others, especially in the front office.

Is it time for the FO to panic? They won't mainly because they realize they still have no idea what kind of team we have. They knew age would be a factor. What they were banking on were minimal covid protocols, minimal injuries, and the inclusion of youth in THT, Monk, Nunn to blend with the stars.

At the rate we're going, it ain't gonna happen.

It goes beyond just not being good. We're unwatchable. I dislike most of the mercenaries on the team and there's still this smugness about them like they can turn it around any minute. Young teams are holding a track meet against us..

To panic for what? Our season is over, we will not win chip so it does not matter.
Plan should be now to think how to build new team in the future.

It was time to panic after the Laker winless pre-season, when many of the same issues then are on full display now. But many laker fans and players just dismissed the pre-season, while only a handful of us here on LG new things were going to turn out bad even then.

Why panic? The NBA is an entertainment business, if the movie is bad you turn on a different one. Management and players are the ones that have to live what happens this season.

It was time to panic, now it is too late and all we can do is analyze the aftermath.

This team was second choice to win the NBA Title in Vegas at the start of the season if I am not mistaken, Egads.

I know the thread is playful, but I do see reasons for concern.

- Our so called shooters are shooting poorly
- AD looks slow and sloppy, and his shots are not falling
- THT hasn't show any growth
- our defense sucks
- no sense of urgency, collectively, which is what happened last season
- rebounding is awful
- no offensive execution at all

Everyone will say well it's because our starting rotation isn't in there playing. And that, to me, makes it even worst.

- Westbrook isn't the best shooter. He gets his points on volume shooting, but he misses alot
- same for Melo, and Melo is a black hole player, in that once the ball gets to him, offense stops until he shoots it. He never passes.
- Rondo and Dwight are good at what they do, but they are not shooters
- and when all is said and done, we're STILL relying on the 37 year old Lebron to bail us out. Not a good recipe to start the season

So, yeah, joke about it, but I'm not liking what I'm seeing. Most of the other teams are playing their best players, and are playing with intent and energy. We're taking the same half-assed approach to the start of the season all ready, just like last season.

Dammit.

Sorry to quote my own post, but I called this on Oct 7, and everything I said 6 months ago directly reflects what we've experienced this season.

Looking back, we should have been more critical about the issues.

Now the lakers won't get the benefit of the doubt next season.
