Warned everyone about this useless jackass in the off-season. It was utterly perplexing to see/read the handful of people defending him. I simply don't understand how anyone could watch him on the Nets not coming away with the conclusion that he's completely useless. Bum ass bench player that even had the nerve to (bleep) to the coach.

I'm just a tad bit more forgiving of fans, especially if they haven't watched many games of other teams. But we as an organization pay people to scout and watch. What happened???

Agree, but not too many options. LbJ can’t play center the whole game.

One of the dumbest signings Pelinka and Kurt Rambis have pulled off, I say this is all Kurt because he’s the one advocating Frank to desperately play DJ more based on recent news.

Meanwhile Suns casually picks up Biyombo on a 10-day and then got signed full term because he’s averaging 11/8 for them, while our off-season signing of DJ just collects DNPs.

Horrible signing. Utterly horrible.

The dude can’t even catch lobs and doesn’t dunk the ball under the basket when no one was guarding him

It's too bad he was done as a player.
Wish him the best on all his future endeavors.

So that means his last memorable play for the Lakers was that pass into the spectators 20 feet above the reach of any human player?

That's cold.

Hope you fare better in your new spot DAJ.

It's probably in the free agent thread but just in case folks don't know what I'm talking about;

Per Shams

The Los Angeles Lakers intend to waive DeAndre Jordan and sign free agent guard DJ Augustin, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Lakers are bringing in a veteran, accomplished shooting PG to back up Russell Westbrook.

We were forewarned by Nets fans that DAJ was done. He was a corpse when we brought him in. That being said:

Adrian Wojnarowski @ wojespn
The 76ers have been in the market for a backup center and will be aggressive in pursuit of DeAndre Jordan — either placing a waiver claim or working to sign him as a free agent should he clear waivers, sources tell ESPN.

Good luck

Maybe WCS shakes loose from Philly. He’s currently on a 10-day deal with them and Philly us maxed out at 15 on the roster. I rather take WCS instead of Augustin. Unless LA really wants to trot out 37y/o Bron at the 5 again.

In the video I saw, he looked worse than Deandre. He was killed by the Clippers bench.

^ Still better than small ball Bron @ the 5 again.

I highly doubt we trade Bron this offseason…but in the remote chance we do, why depreciate his value by adding unnecessary wear and tear in dude by playing him at the 5.

Dwight is 36y/o and Melo can’t be heavily relied upon either as the small ball 5. Bring in WCS to spare Bron/Melo from that burden while AD recovers. DJA makes no sense to me.

As for DJ to Philly…maybe they’re pumping the brakes???

Doc Rivers says the team anticipates using Willie Cauley-Stein more in games. He says they need a rim protector and that’s what he can provide. #Sixers

Frank Vogel says DeAndre Jordan felt he would have a larger role in Philadelphia and the Lakers granted him the opportunity.
