Stop trying to make him your Harrell/Gasol for the season.
Look at the people actually playing bad. |
He played great, I don’t know what people are expecting out of him. Like defense stopper? |

He was +8 tonight... Tonight was a weird game specially that 2nd quarter. Melo is doing what he is suppose to do when we brought him here. Hit shots. Not Melo's fault Vogel continues to play him with midget line ups. Him next to Lebron, AD and Westbrook is where we can maximize him. |

Carmelo got to be thinking why wasn't I in that video of Nas with LeBron and Westbrook enjoying Sunday Brunch 😂 |

He’s already an upgrade over Kuzma. No doubt. |

Funny how I was laughed at when I suggested Lakers sign Melo 2 years ago. Now everyone's glad he's a Laker. Funny how I always end up being correct. |

He needs to dial down on holding the ball too long, besides that he's a good addition imo. I recall this play where he was iso-ing and dribbling the air out of the ball before he had to make a last minute pass to AB for a brick |

Has flaws/drawbacks in his game, but you wouldn't see Kieff do this. That's talent. Huge game by Melo, in a situation where we really needed a win. |

That’s the beauty of our team. We have enough guys for it to be someone on any given night. |

Could have been eyes deceiving me, but I thought I saw Melo play some defense today. The matches suit him, as he was mostly on a bigger guy or a big wing. We didn't find him on too many switches on smalls. However Melo has always been a guy that defends better when he's on.
Overall though, you just didn't have shot makers like this last year off the bench. He is what we hoped Kuz would be 2 years ago. He's in the same role, just better at it on offense. It remains to be seen if he can play defense and make enough shots to be consistently part of the rotation. |

Disagree….Kuz was inconsistent, always. Kuz was a mental midget often in big games. Melo is not afraid of the moment. |

Kuz last year was better on D, but very inconsistent on O both years. Melo's D today was Kuz level. Don't think at age 37 we're going to get this D from Melo each game. So I'm not fooling myself into thinking he will play this D each game.
We need Ariza back, because it's clear we're quite potent when we run AD/LBJ/Baze/Westbrook and a wing. Today that wing was Melo. If we have Ariza as well, that can be nice to have two wings at your disposal and you need to rely even less on DAJ/Dwight.

He played better defense than Westbrook this game in my opinion |
